edit: yeah looks dope, i can't wait until we can just dump all the text from a book into a LLM and have it create a movie. i'd rather watch the version AI makes like the "Balenciaga style" movie trailers than whatever HBO is making right now for their Snow Crash adaptation for example.

Thanks. Yeah some were off for sure. I supposed the first one is how I always say myself as an ogre. I'm going to try later to get the classic ogres and trolls down for sure rather than looking more orcish.

this is the most disruptive tech to be invented since the automobile, gun powder, diesel tractor or whatever else u want to use as an example.

Covid was a test of how stable the system is if, well, no one, or very few people, are actually working. It turns out we could easily make this system operate with a one-day work week. But socially, that's another question. Covid was this "it's pandemic!" scenario that allowed for a one-off chance to test, if something like a UBI and drastically shorted work week can operate the machines. It can, easily.

Now we have to figure out how to transition to it.

Popcorn, is all I can say. Lots and lots of popcorn will be needed.

edit: and for those who say, what about construction? You can't have 500 people working on a 100 person job just because everyone only works one day a week, that isn't how construction operates, naturally that kind of work would be done in chunks of the person's time. Stints in the field, so to speak. Much like the national guard operates, correct?

No good artists and engineers are going to waste their time putting together reinvisioned EverQuest teaser trailers. This is basically fan art. It’s fun for fun-sake.

The future is fraught with problems but not because someone likes EQ and spent time daydreaming what it would look like in 2025 using modern tools.

idk how i never noticed this thread before. love the sand giant. only thing i would change is maybe bringing the glowing red eyes back on the specters. Would be a neat mechanic if they only glew red when they were targeting a player / someone had aggro.

I'm from an area of the US that is kind of known for pronouncing everything different/weird, or having slang that doesn't exist anywhere else in the world, so that prob plays a big part here. But also I don't think it's completely unheard of, apparently the phrase has been used in a lot of literature over the years.

Reiwa even a broken clock is right twice a day as they say in my language. I like this and thanks for sharing and while I don't fix clocks I do clean them professionally on occasion. Cool ogre, and if you only step sufficiently correctly maybe we can coexist culturally (welcome back also) and I won't have to waive my fee for professional services.
