Personally I would plop down $500 with the assurance that it lasts for 2 years. That's about $20 per month.

66 cents per day to neckbeard? That's a steal. Rogean should set up a gofundme or whatever that works like this: once the goal is reached, everyone's current pledge gets taken + server opens.

Now, I have advocated for a teams server in the past and balanced population-based stat and resist buffs in order to keep teams relatively equally distributed and balanced... with additional phone number, IP and MAC based PC checks (among other things) for boxing/cross teaming... But even just a basic reboot of R99 would probably get a few hundred donations. Rogean, maybe see where it goes? Set a goal of what it would take for you to press the button and see if it gets reached?

EQ is a time sink. A no lifer who lives here is at a distinct advantage. Now this fine if its PvE. Someone is always gonna be ahead. Its just nature.

Now, if you have a no lifer who loves GvG (Griefer v Griefee) and will spend literal hours lvling then delevel (and equiping/bagging depending in ruleset) to purely "teach n00bs" how pvp works (again, prove me wrong fuckers) it just sucks the fun out.
In short, the fun has been sucked out unless you are a member of a bully group (existing guild) and can get multiple allies.
