Most diets leave people under on recommended fiber. Fiber intake a good defense against colorectal cancer

Do yourself a favor, eat 2 tbsp of ground flax seed meal per day. Keep refridgerated.

Inuits and more modern carnivores might disagree. maybe we need fiber to flush out the garbage we eat. dont eat garbage

I have followed the carnivore diet before a bit (just learning about it, not actually trying it), and the interesting thing is not even the best nutritionists and doctors completely understand how we can function with essentially no fiber (because there is none in the carnivore diet)

My consensus I have come to in my limited research following a few different nutrition channels, and the fitness community’s feedback, is that the carnivore diet is sometimes great if particular specific things need correcting with someone’s health markers. But I don’t think it is quite a perfect fit for all people

Most of the fitness community I’ve followed that has tried it has stopped for various reasons

“For me, it’s simple. The world is made up of herbivores and carnivores. If we decide to remain herbivores, then the carnivores will win and we will be a meal for them."

“I think, at the very least, we should choose to become omnivores. I don’t want to be aggressive, just that we know how to defend ourselves on all these subjects.”

Also it should go without saying that the Liver King and his recent psychosis and very visibly aged face within the past few months/year is a bad example of the carnivore diet’s failures

Because it is widely known that slamming lots of PED’s has been shown to cause not only advanced aging of the face but also a wider “moon faced” look. And his psychosis is likely from ketamine and/or adderall abuse

But yea the Liver King has been looking haggard recently

short chain fatty acids. my dr handed me a low fat low carb diet to correct my out-of-control blood work. i ask about keto diet (atkins diet at the time), he said he "believed in that". as long as i got enough protein.

i have heard some people dont do well on keto diet. it does correct some markers will also move markers to places Drs dont like.

various reasons being bread, fruit, ice cream, alcohol. you need a real reason to stick to it and people telling you it is gonna kill you doesnt help.

takes months to adjust...a week on keto is BS torture with zero pay off except the usual 10-20lbs water loss reg low calorie diet will do

I don’t think I could walk away from carbs, but I work out like a fiend. Diet’s been pretty performance-minded lately, but it’s almost always a plate of rice at lunch and a half plate around 8pm (first with chicken, second with veggies)

The timing has to be considered too. If I’m doing a balls out fast run, I prefer my stomach to be a tiny bit above completely empty. When I’m going that hard I’m not digesting well, and the wasted blood to the stomach and intestines weakens cardio. So I have to try to time my lunch fairly spot on and have nothing after. Carbs (the healthier kind anyway, not meaning processed starches) aren’t bad IMO as long as they are burned

I also do sauna 4x/week which helps keep the water retention under control. And I’m not a bitch about it, like those bro’s who only stay in a little to “get warm”. I stay in there until the puddle is at least 1.5 feet wide. If I die, I die. At least you can tell them he died doing something he didn’t really like that much

sounds great. like i told my daughter's pot bellied nutritionist, i would only recommend ketosis for addressing metabolic disease / weight loss.

wonder if he was scoped? they been wanting to do that to me for awhile. when this happens to someone who appears so healthy/fit...frightening
