Why play my box? Quality content, no grind, 2 box, Kunark, start with all spells.

Red? Single box, need like 30 drunks to show up and start a cheal train, people afk, the raids take forever due to Velious. I mean I like Red, but my box is more like... the Dota EQ box.

It's not like who's better at this point, because mine is a replica of red99, most of them are pretty good (I copied all the takp over for 1.0 Runnyeye, CT, and Droga, 1.0 Inny, CT) so mine is actually I'd say above average quality, but none the less, especially with the leaderboard, classic skele wolf animations, classic spell cast animations, spell book icons etc.

It's a very good quality Kunark 2 box no grind. It's nothing fancy or revolutionary, but it's pretty solid lol.

I'm not good at people, I'm a shit talking pvper dota player, but mechanically the box is good, whether it has a chance to gain a community/pvp scene/guilds is yet to be determined.

It's just a different timeline/expansion/way it plays, it's never going away, throw a separate box up and check it out imo.

Dota eq would be good for you because it's like training wheels, no investment to get griefed out of, less toxic immersion. If you played Red you'd know what I mean, like a desert_madman roaming the empty desert.

I'd argue that was the problem from the very beginning. This is supposed to be for horsing around and fun, not to be taken serious.

Which is why my box is instant 60/full spellbook permanent Kunark PvP. Quality content/Leaderboard/YT/Classic Spell Animations/Classic Spell Icons/2 Box/Coder/Classic Melee Resists etc.

Alternative PvP Box* is the entry level box for new players, old men, casuals.

The problem is currently empty boxes won't attract people, it would take community effort to build it up as a casual fuck around PVP box. Which probably won't happen, but it's possible.

For the love of EQEMU PvP and our childhood game, we should boost Alternative PvP Box population higher, and try to attract new and old players into a fun unpretentious (not attempting to impress others with an appearance of greater importance, talent, or culture than is actually possessed.) server.

Attracting new people will be next to impossible, Red99 2.0 will not happen, ROT is garbage. Only one solution.

My Box isn't anything fancy, it's Red99 2.0 quality with VZTZ style 2 box, no grinding.

I think it's got potential to be the Welcome Mat for other EMU PvP servers. I just think logging onto Red for the first time, or just checking it out, most people will 360 and walk away.

I want to reiterate that since TAKP released their DB I can copy over all 1.0 content, including Runnyeye, Cazic Thule, Hate/Fear, Droga, The Hole etc. My content will be bang on 1.0 content all Red99 quality.

Nothing custom or out of era, nothing different from Red99 content wise.

Coupled with Bamzals coding for the in-game Leaderboard ctrl-p, the classic spells/icons, wolves, skeletons, melee fixes, p99 spells/resists, my attention to detail on the content, objects, reconstructing 1.0 zones, reverting everything to the proper era.

Alternative PvP Box is about as quality as you can make one.
