View Full Version : Where should I park my retired enchanter to buff the most people?

Howdy everyone, I'm Lhig the immortal. I'm never going away. I'm a 60 enchanter. Before the server split, I liked to chill in the Oasis of Marr and use my snake stick to superhaste lowbies in the zone. After the timeline rupture, the Oasis became barren and I moved to Karnor's Castle where I log in periodically from time to time to zone buff.

Where are the most populated zones that would benefit the most from a retired mammoth hunter to bestow haste and clarity? The most populated zone would be more important than the level range. There's usually someone in Karnors to buff.

Thank you for all your suggestions.

Karnors is a good one for direct leveling especially late game as those levels are a grind. Otherwise I’d say EC/WC. Everyone travels through there so you’d get the “most people” as they get a ride to were they plan to grind.

KC is a good one.

I'm parked inside KC, even during euro hours there are usually some people around.

Don't buff the KC mouth-breathers.

Unrest is an interesting suggestion, I could probably buff everyone in the mansion while standing outside just by /targeting them from the /who. I enjoy ninja buffing. I'll try that for a while and see how it goes, thank you all.

Bind at EC tunnel. Buff whoever you can there. Run to WC rings and buff more people there. Tag along whenever a Druid ports someone to DL and make the run to KC. Buff people there. Gate back and repeat. Can hammer to OT now and then and buff people there also.

This is what i'm talkin' about, but the zones are pretty far apart. If I could travel between them with great ease I would do this. Lowbie buffing is the best

Apparently on Live druids can have multiple bind spots.

Updates on the zone checking front. I have made two macros to do a /who check on the following zones: Oasis, Crushbone, Mistmoore, Karnor's, Unrest, and City of Mist.

Unfortunately Karnors is by far the most populated at any time I happen to check in. City of Mist may be an alternative for a time, it is the second most populated zone so far.

Karnors is really easy to get around to all the group spots as an enchanter. Almost everything is a static spawn except for one pather in the basement that can be run into if you take the water moat route, but after that it's all undead. I wouldn't think City of Mist would be too hard to traverse either to buff those groups.

In a perfect world, I would buff Dalnir, Befallen, Kerra Island, The Warrens, Lake Rathetear, Kurn's Tower, Crystal Caverns, ToFS, and Qeynos Aqueducts (death to Cuburt).

I'm not going to buff the WC rings, there's no exp going on there, too much AFK / travel time wasted on the buffs. If I'm at the rings I'm charming a piranha and using the chok'dai vocal cords to say weird stuff to people zoning in.

Honestly, in a world where mounts, Luclin Spires, PoK books, etc. have already all but eliminated the sense of virtual world scale anyway ... that's pretty cool.

Why do I feel like this guy is the only one who actually knows how to play EQ?

Because he’s copying me and Gatmanno who have done this every GM event to make people drown, or run around to stupid zones. Yawn.

Wow. The spells involved have been around since '01 (I certainly remember these kind of shenanigans on live), and you have the audacity to think that you invented how to use them, and that someone else is copying you?

Also, do you both spend your free time not just trying to help as many people as possible ... but doing it so much that you then spend even more your time asking a forum about the best place to do so?
