Warrior next upgrade

Hey guys! My warrior is currently lvl 46 and I’m looking for ideas on what my next gear upgrade should be. Below are the main things I already have

Fungi, reaver, 34% haste, all gnome clickes, invis bp, skinning knife, seb croaking dirk, frostbringer, snare whip.

I’m doing quite a lot of soloing atm and will probably continue doing that. My current plan is grobb/random guards, WL goos/geonids into velks/kc.

Gear that I have been considering are

Cobalt BP - help with recovery. But maybe the fungi + bw is more efficient, especially after 57?

Narandi lance - magical 2h for goos/geos

ToD - seems like a great thing when it procs. Not sure how useful it will be. Dex is around 140 with gnome clickies.

2x blood points - help with recovery. Maybe use when mobs are running? Seems to be praised by some people, but deemed as old by others.

Something else? My main goal is to get something that feels like it will have impact on my gameplay. Currently leaning towards the ToD but would love some ideas 🙂

I never understood the blood point hype myself. Seems really weak.

ToD for sure, it'll allow you to duo with clerics and necros pretty efficiently. Odd duos can be a lot of fun.

Maybe Herbalist Spade? Could do some cheeky splits. Also decent option ratio wise vs. Reaver. I'm just not a reaver fan I don't like being forced to fight only certain mobs. I know its amazing for the price though!

Ah yea the lance would be 55+ for goos and geos that are immune to reaver. Sadly my budget is too tight to fit in the swiftblade, seems like a great weapon though!

Start bpheal, click bind wound from actions window, click stand from actions window. Restart process once both bw and bp are complete.

Very fast healing, specially 57+.

Fungi, ToD, blood point x2. Carried me to 60 solo. Very little downtime unless I got multiple late ToD procs in a row.
Will cost a little over 10k but you still got a couple of levels before they proc so more to make money.

Other posters have mostly covered the droppable things. But 46 is conspicuously high enough to enter ToV / the planes. I'm guessing you're not a raider on your other chars?

Indeed! I’m not much of a raider but it’s definitely in reach if I get lucky with a quake timing. A ntov 2h would obviously be great, also saw that sky had a few pretty nice items.

Sky is really just the belt, which can be pretty rare in my experience. But for NToV, you've got the right idea. Something like Rocksmasher or Gaudralek will go a long way and can be had cheap in the right guild / circumstances. But really any of them will be a noticeable boost vs Reaver. The Dain/Tormax 2h aren't bad either, but definitely a tier below.

How about a ring 8? A little DS might be fun.

I like truncheon and runed blade on my green warrior. Slowed stuff finds it hard to chew through such a strong rune, especially once you get evasive disc running.

only played a warrior up to like 45 and nevered messed w/ truncheon but as someone currently levelling a shaman i feel pretty confident stating *get the truncheon, slow is obscenely OP*

Just reached lvl 50 and got a ToD, definitely confirmed good! My dex is currently at 126 with gnome buffs but will try to replace my crusty bracer with a second scwb to bump it a bit. Also have crusty legs with negative dex but they have a bunch of sta that’s pretty nice..

Will save up a bit more pp and maybe grab a cobalt bp, or try two blood points if I can find a seller. Narandi lance still on the horizon unless I get lucky on a raid.

Yeah 8 is a roll, you can just buy a mq up to 7.
I wouldn't bother until 60, other than the little damage shield it's not very good until ring 10

Dump the crusty. You're a gnome, you get the dwarven cultural armor that's better and has MR on it.

Still 50, really looking forward to some skillups at 51. Been fighting the same mobs since 44 and they keep greening out but I keep loosing the same amount of HP. I hope some skillups and evasive at 52 will work in my advantage.

Another warrior question. Should I kick mobs when soloing them? Thinking if it’s just working against me due to risk of riposte. Was also wondering if it might “steal” crit/crip hits from my regular swings, but have no idea if that’s how it works or not.

at 55 itll have a chance to stun iirc, for spellcasts basically

It’s probably a wash. I’d save kick/slam for casters as mentioned but if it makes the game more fun, click away.

Incoming riposte damage is overrated unless you kick an enraged raid boss or maybe like VS. Outgoing ripostes are underrated hence 1hs being bad for solo in 2024.

Cool, definitely looking forward to some discs. Should it always be used mainly due to proc rate not being affected or is there some other mechanic? For example, if I face tank with a reaver, should I still pop evasive on cd?

Evasive and defensive don't affect threat at all. The threat from a max hit swing and a miss are identical.

It did seem to help soloing as well,I think the hit rate decrease is exagerated on the wiki

I’m confused by the question. You’d take far fewer hits under evasive. That is a difference.

Got to 52 last night and it’s definitely great! Reg the timers; will the reuse timer start when the effect wears off or in the beginning?

Been looking for a pair of blood points to help a bit with recovery but they seem to be hard to find. Maybe a cobalt bp would be better though? Kind of annoying to have to click it over and over during long downtimes but at least it’s 100% success rate compared with procs.

You mentioned something about a bw macro to run it multiple times jimjam. Can you share how you set that up? Don’t think it will work for an item but would be nice to bw and couple of times while AFK

The reuse timer also decreases by a minute each time you level up (so at level 60 you can spend 3 out of every seven minutes under evasive!)

Imo blood points overrated with velious weapons, but good luck finding them and let us know you’re results - i like the runed blade which is also unfavourable compared to velious weapons and fits a role somewhat similar to bloodpointa.


I put bind wound in the first button of the combat tab of the actions window. It has a 10 sec cooldown but I put a 11 second delay just to give wriggle room for lag

Typing /hot bandspam will put a macro key on your cursor titled bandspam. Put it on the hot bar window and right click to edit:

/pause 110, /do 7
/pause 110, /do 7
/pause 110, /do 7
/sit

This should do 4 bandages with an 11 second interlude follower by a sit. Remember to target yourself (or a friend?) first. Replace the first line with /pause 5, /target nordbear(replace with your war’s name) if preferred.

I never found bloodpoints too effective. A big 2h that kills the mob faster consistently left me with more health.
Cobalt or a thurg bp is a good investment,but once you can bind past 50% you won't use it much

If you want to make a single line macro you could even include that.

E.g

/hot C2beg /tt hey %t! Good to see you again! Hows it been? Would you be kind enough to spare me a C2?

Then throw that on your hot bar and slap it each time you have an enchanter targeted :D

I’m getting deja vu, but ofc swap out C2 details for SoW or whatever you beg for most :)
