I am a relatively new player here. I played a little of the modern version about six years ago and had a good time, but I wanted something different so here I am. My life is pretty busy so I'm hoping to find time to play occasionally, a good solo character maybe. Anyway happy to be here.

Welcome mate, if you are looking for a good solo character Iksar necromancers are really great imo. Jack of all trades and good farm for plat to help gear other characters should you wish to branch out later.

Mana regen passive, pet class, snare, fear mes and fd are all great tools that will help you enjoy your experience.

If you are looking for melee (tend to be more gear dependant) A lot of people like monks for their versatility, ability to pull, solo and FD
