I read that it's possible to be logged into both Blue and Green simultaneously, but I'm having trouble doing so.
Here's my issue:
I load the client on Blue and log into Norrath without any problems.
When I try to load the client again, the first client crashes immediately before I can even log in.
Try winEQ by lavish software

I'm not sure this is allowed, I've seen people receive messaging from CSR about having a 2nd client open on their computer even when they weren't even logged into a server.
This implies that CSR's viewpoint is that operating multiple clients on one computer is considered boxing regardless of those clients accessing a singular server or not.
CSR has represented concerns around hot-swapping or being able to use a 2nd client to swap between characters or servers faster than what the single client allows therefore gaining a competitive advantage that is viewed as cheating.
The only example I know of where running 2 EQ clients at the same time would be allowed is using two different clients I.E. P99 and Quarm

It has always been allowed to have one client per server running and is not considered boxing. There are even exceptions written in the rules expressly allowing it
Project 1999 Play Nice Policy (PNP) - Server Rules and Expectations (https://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=325349)
Bottom of Rule #6
The exception to this rule is having one client running for Project 1999 Red PvP as well as one for Project 1999 Blue. This is allowed.
And with the Introduction of Green (https://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=333743) it was extended with Green as well
Boxing
As usual with all Project 1999 servers, boxing will NOT be allowed. However, as is currently the case with Blue and Red, you may play one character per server at the same time.

Issue resolved by running eqgame.exe as Admin by default

I know people in raid guilds get ip exemptions so they can /exit their current char and load one on a separate account without waiting for the "your ip has a temp block" cooldown. That is definitely cheating, but I dunno how they'd ever be able to enforce it with 100 people all doing that every time there's a quake or any big raid.

It seems like the distinction that CSR has made is if you exit the client and start a fresh client that is not cheating but if you exit the client and have a second one running in the background ready to log back in faster than it is.

When you /q (your character stays in game for a period) and with an IP exemption you can log into another character and now you have 2 characters online at the same time on one server. That is what they see and is against the rules for obvious reasons
They are not seeing how many clients you have loaded (or caring about that)
