Hello!

After finding a copy of EQ Titanium, and following the install directions VERY carefully, several times, as well as trying Duxa's All-In-One installer, I can't seem to be able to log into p99. My eqhost file is good, and I WAS able to get to the server select screen, but when I try to connect to the p99 server, the screen will go black like it's loading the game, but end up booting me back to the login screen; generating an Error 1017 when I try to get back in.

I have tried several fixes for this that I found on both the EQEmu forums, as well as here, such as a dual-core fix (running an Intel e5300 OC'd to about 3.8 GHz), port-forwarding, removing my router, and disabling my firewall. When looking at my dbg log, there's an entry that's clearly the problem, but I can't make sense of it. It is as follows:

2011-07-21 13:17:29 *** ERROR: WorldAuthenticate. My message arrival was NULL, the net has been shutdown.

I love EQ, and have been looking forward to playing here for some time. Any help in this would be vastly appreciated. If you can help me resolve this, I will even donate 50pp in your name to feed the starving Gnome babies of Ak'Anon. =)

Many thanks in advance!

Did you try editing the eqclient.ini file to reflect your screen resolution properly?

I did try that. I have a widescreen monitor with a native res of 1920x1080. For some reson, tho, the client would rather default to 1280x720.

How do you connect? Are you using satellite, or some higher-latency medium by any chance?

Let it default to whatever it wants to imo. The only workaround I know of is to change your resolution ingame and ignore what the login screen looks like.

Yeah, I should have mentioned my connection, which is through Charter Cable. My ping is between 30-40ms.
