Disabled Guard assist, going to try to disable anonymous if it's easy. Was thinking about maybe like an anti spawn camp perma rooted mob with a decent agro range in a specific spot of town but I won't do that yet, just wild west it.

Working purely on PVP mechanics today. June 4/2024.

- Made it so if you are link dead, you pop out of game in 30 seconds, not 60. When you are DC'd you act like an NPC who moves slower than sow. Easily kitable. Also, when you try to log in when DC'd it says "You have an active character" you cannot go to char select anymore, removing the possibility of kicking yourself out instantly. Further testing with ip exemptions maybe, but I do it by account status so I don't think it works like that.

- Changing Res boxes and corpse timers. Res box trains are a pretty significant PVP bug, working on that now. I'm thinking 10 min corpse res timer. and a Res window only lasts 10 seconds. Not sure if I can adjust this so easily but that's the plan. If someone parks a corpse somewhere with a cleric they can't res out of PVP, also, they won't be able to res box train and port out. No COH max 50 should solve those issues.

I need the main PVP bugs, already removed clicky nukes. What have you guys been cheesed by.

Bards won't be a thing. (deleted all drums/selos) Play a sow'd bard if u wish.

Bowquest was a thing on live, but not till Velious with ranger disc. Also Windstrikers never existed on Live, maybe a couple but it wasn't part of PVP like Red.

Bards same thing, very few people played Bards, they were relatively uncommon, and really break the game. Necessary evil, none of you guys can melee at selos speed be honest except me anyway. It wouldn't be fair.

MR CC wasn't a thing 60 mr perma immune to MR cc, anyone who says otherwise is a liar.

Sow indoors isn't classic but really kind of a custom choice that really makes PVP more fun, waiting out sows, fighting sow vs unsow, it ruins so many pvp opportunities.

On red it's not as noticeable because of the broken bows and amount of windstrikers.

You can't really say that about any other class either lol. I'm trying to second guess myself and think maybe I'm wrong about it, but selo's is just so stupid it's one of those reasons EQPVP died on live lol.

Meaning like cheese broken mechanics became the norm as expansions stacked on. Manaburn, mounts, Selos etc. Once Paladins had mounts they were unkillable. The game went really off the rails. On TZ at least in classic there wasn't rampant Bard griefing, no one cared to cheesemax. Most people were roleplaying or acting noble and respectable etc.

Maybe by Sullon that Fancy guy or w/e paved the way for the future Tunes etc? It's really just a stupid mechanic, 15x run speed or some shit? If you can't admit it you're a bard player.

How I would pitch legit proposal and selling it my box would be people from ROT and Red99 and even blue could come load up a toon and be insta 50 with basically BIS pre planar. Make your guild, leaderboard YT. The mechanics are perfect and will be improved if and when needed. And fuck.

You could have Pumice vs Titanuks crew vs Tunes crew vs fucken whatever blue people want to show up. I may be a little questionable and burned quite a few bridges, but honestly like who gives a fuck about me.

I wanna see like Zek style PVP where any crew can load up fly their tag and show us whats up. It's a side piece it's not main thing. Play ur main games and then dabble.

That's how I'd promote it. An even plane for people to come from all backgrounds, no grinding, no cheese gimmicks, straight up classic eq nostalgia.

I don't expect roleplaying and the good old days (except from me I'm rebuilding the Elven Empire).

I'm like the out of town hockey arena where all the hockey teams show up to have a tourney, all the kids running down the halls crazy swimming hot tubs. That type of vibe. Then u can go back to ur lives.

It's also a bit of a hybrid, there's still planar progression/dragons loot sky quests, world drops to get your immersion and nostalgia up only basically. Which aren't just freebies loot pinata you have to grind that shit(planar).

I've played EQEMU since like 2010 and live EQ clearly I'm an eq enthusiast. I've never once stolen/scummed legit, I stole zechariahs bloodstained mantel but out of principle.

Never once scummed someone in all my years out of game, purely game shit talk/cross the line maybe. Never once like played two sides, or like, stole shit, scummed info or dead peoples pixels like nothing. I am a little odd but never once have I been a real scummer. Just a big mouth.
