I understand that you guys don't want to put any effort into the red player base and quite honestly we probably don't deserve it. If you did, though, I think you could give the red folks a great home for years to come with minimal effort and maintenance.

1. Seasonal boxes.
a. Classic for 3 months
b. Kunark for 3 months
c. Velious for 6 months
d. Server is wiped and merged into Red 1999

2. No GM intervention for anything other than hacks/3rd party programs.
a. You can still delete Tune and all his characters at any time if he starts getting too sick again

3. Fix bow damage. C'mon guys.

Me and u are on the same page basically Heebo the only problem is if you allow training in Velious with those sicko(compliment actually<3) Tempests it might mean no raids. Which is still better than dealing with GM's but it's tough. Kunark you can get away with it it's not that easy to train in Kunark. Trak/VS everything dies so fast, VP agro range is small. It's not that easy to train in VP believe it or not.

The other weird thing about Red was all the resistance has Vulak pixels from being the former zerg? There's no real way to beat them other than doing PVE, which is boring and time consuming. It's like lose lose, and everyone just wastes each others time.

It's honestly not fixable. Even if you managed to even the teams and make them even the PVP is like very situational. Completely situational now. Bows/Bards outside, Wands/melee train indoors. Like super basic, super easymode and kinda gay.

The only saving grace is the fights in Fear but back to post number 2 if you reference. People don't show up after losing. Red is actually pink. PVE box with PVP enabled.

Nothing will stop the zerg/resistance from forming. It's basic EQ nature. My idea was not a solution to this problem in any way, nor something I want to fix.

I was offering an idea to give some consequences to the toxic players that typically ruin what would otherwise be a healthy PvP server.

The GM's have no desire to do something for Red like create and police a new server, but they do allow for player run agreements to settle problems. Put your thinking cap on and run with that idea.

Pick some players from Blue/Green to make the call based on evidence provided. Whatever, just have something to deal with the people that simply don't understand they are the reason there is no Red 2.0

Handy out suspies for an entire expansion to all known account and deny them a transfer once the server ends. I would suggest just removing them. People will get the message and then you might get some fun mass pvp.

Heebo's idea is pretty good to be honest. It just needs zero effort from GM's/Devs to have a chance.

Allowing all the toxic shitted to come back and have a zero consequence server is a certain outcome.

but, the resistance usually ends up with a few people that log on just to run trains on other players. Those are the problem players that banning would make the server better. Retaliation usually follows from the bigger guild.

These are the same people that will log on a level 60 just to train a group of new players that are out of range and do it for hours.

It has nothing to do with the resistance. Seen it from the zerg guilds and the resistance guilds both.

You are viewing this as a guild vs guild thing and by any means necessary the number 2 guild must stop the number 1 guilds raid at any cost, but it doesn't stop there.

One neat thing I can do is adjust a POK zoneline (you cant create zonelines out of thing air) but I can use a POK one adjust the zone point to anywhere locs and target zone I think have to test further. So I'm going to think real hard on this and make my Hall of the Immortals.

I never did the Oasis toons but I like the idea, too lazy and don't care enough.

I prob won't even really compete on my box, or play a cleric or w/e. When you become one of the top 3 developers of EQEMU PvP with honestly the most underrated and underappreciated best box, you care more about the overall entities health not just my own fun.

I let a druid kill me earlier because I figured why ruin his fun you know, so I don't see myself playing this box really like a normal box. Once I have Teams enabled I'll prob make one final announcement get it locked and just leave the forums once and for all.

There is no joining or commitment, people will start with starting gear, spells, a team, a starting guild if people so wish, and a functioning Leaderboard/YT Team PVP atmosphere. I am unsure how often the Leaderboard will reset but it won't be just an endless thing.

It may take time to build a playerbase but it's already starting. 15 in Discord, I know 7 with me regular people logging in now daily.

EQPvP mechanics are basic, even more so on Red. The fact people spend like endless time on that box thinking it's high level PVP just shows that EQEMU has missed the point completely.

My box? Skill required, not time grind required. Red99 Time grind, not skill required.

The argument the PVE is better on Red? I agree, Red is a blue server. The people on it are bluebies.

But Stasis, how is it higher skill required you say. It's Garage box, it's starting gear ezmode.

- In PvP melee will have to actually hit their targets with their weapons. With sow indoors, you can't just depend on wanding someone down and zerging the guy walking speed. Dispell trains will make them Jboot speed which is still an advantage.

- Everyone is on the same level, there is not a huge gear gap in Classic. You can't just depend on superior items.

- Magic CC/Windstrikers/Tstaffs won't be the norm, you will have to hit moving targets who can evade and run away. Not stunlocked perma cc'd targets with lame mechanics that a) weren't a thing on live due to how fast expansions rolled b) no one knew to cheese stuff like nowadays.

- Increased DPS to make melees competetive, while at the same time remaining classic with casters for example Ice comet 1120 dmg/750 in PVP. Casters are still incredibly powerful yet slightly more balanced melee compared to classic instead of OP casters classic / OP melee Kunark.

Some basic code of conduct with OOC which I have abused myself, but I expected to be banned when I did.

Anyone who joins my box can insult me, have their opinions about me, and do what they want with fear of no retribution.

I may be opinionated on people and rude and annoying, but I won't actually interfere with anyone on my server, that's a promise. I am not the lord of the box, and once teams code is up and running I will make my final thread and probably stop posting.

Teams(soon), Instant 50, Starting gear BIS non planar, Classic spell Icons, Classic Skeletons/Necro Pets(the red ones) Wolves, YT, Leaderboard with eventually hopefully Guild/player/team categories, right now it's player. Classic Resist code where stuns/cc's aren't the move, Improved melee to balanced the PVP a little bit(rather than no melee custom, all melee kunark), Spell dmg all reverted to P99 classic values with 2/3 pvp dmg. Sow/jboots works indoors. Selos removed. Pumice is free, bags are free. Legacy items are in. Willing to reduce melee dmg 10-15% if needed depending how it feels with a train of melee's it's hard to account for everything, but Ice Comets hit for 750 so Wiz/nuke train is still probably meta. Improved pet accuracy with balanced dmg, consistent hits but capped max dmg. Can change DPS depending.

Resist code never works on any box because level difference fucks the formula btw (not an issue on my box.

2 box, buffs last 2 hrs 40 mins, no reagants for pets/dots/hatestones no farming required. Starting gear which means you have around 100 MR.

Hybrid with still planar progression and Fear golems/ct/Vox/Naggy/Tranix. Very minimal progression but that's classic also, and also good for balancing.

Only classic content.

Bamz has plans for custom GM events with like moving armies and stuff lol I think it's cool like marching mammoths and shit that would clash? Dota style? I dunno what his end game plans are but custom coded events that wouldn't effect day to day mechanics. He said like lotr but I was thinking warhammer.

Also GM hosted PVP events where I'd like to step back completely and let it be player run but trying to get people to try it and feel it out. CB/Arena/Naggy/Golems I dunno just like a simulation of those fights that people love, where anyone can really take part once teams are in.

Also unfortunately one of my features was no Client files but that's not possible, with all the spell changes icon changes, also people downloading a fresh ROF client it has all the classic s3d map files you just have to delete the new eqg versions.

I recomend people downloading our client files from Discord and putting them in your EQ folder or it might not feel great. Might be able to get away with pure melees, but the skeletons will be Luclin models and look disgusting. People can use Titanium and just delete nek/lavastorm it has all the old files. If ur paranoid, go Titanium play pure melee. don't download shit lol.

The way I designed melee's is they hit high chance, for high rolls, but the dmg is capped to balance it, that way the DPS is consistent and easier to balance.

All of my stuff is consistently parsed, max hits, accuracy, spell dmg, pet dmg, I mean I could parse it by DPS too if I wanted but it doesn't exactly work that way in PVP.

People would know instantly with GM interference because the data is so open and predictable. Also the second I get involved in any situation and make a ruling I instantly lose credibility getting involved in the first place eg Ambrogio Tempest.

It's the only move that makes sense? I know this from all the Red GM's. Even if you want to be impartial you can't(you have your own opinions and biases and views on how shit should be). Therefore I will be hands off completely. It's just logical to me.

With the mechanics on Red, it's very basic /assist /use broken mechanic. Wand/Windstriker/Selos/Melee train unsowed target.

I'm just skipping to end stage ROT, during classic, and trying to build it up from the ground. For the people who say the grind is part of EQ and character building etc, once we have teams, everything working perfect, content working good, built up a community.

I would consider a one time release of classic classic. Which would never reset, permanent classic.

That being said, it will just end up where the box is now. Until more testing/people/data is available I can't even consider it.

Ultimately you're just kicking the problems down the road, for people who might not stick around for PVP anyways and just enjoy PVE with some thrills.

Since sunday we upped our max zones to 100, I ended up on Dynamic zones that expire after 20 mins of being empty, maybe exploitable for group loot (instead of clearing mob you want, zone out wait 20 mins, zone in) but it's almost the same time to kill, and I'd prefer to just keep things running smoother for PVP in the zones people are occupying. Most group loot is irrelevant, and dynamic zones don't respawn anything, so it won't mess with raid targets.

Adjusted Naggy/Vox to 7 days. Congrats Birdops crew first vox, first hate minis. Inny is 2.0 I'm not sure if they downed him yet, Fear is 2.0 so Golems have the weapons on them etc. I may monkey around a bit eventually adjusting CT slowly. Draco is godly with 400k hp or something too so everything needs fine tuning.

Had to make a virtual ZL for Soltemple.

Fixed Sky, added static Thunder Spirit Princess to island 1, when killed she spawns Sirran, the lesser faeries have key parts, island 2 azaracks have key parts, spawns boss azarack and then sirran, tested 3 when Gorgalosk is killed, spawns Sirran, that's as far as I've gotten - needs further testing. Key to dojorn is free.

Still have Inny/Golems/Phinny for server firsts =D

Adjusted hit box up a bit to .5, holding it there for now don't want it too tedious and impossible with any sort of lag. What else we do oh yeah enabled HP mobs to be spawned in ROF2, was just a setting.

The thing is the script is only upon creation, so changing to level 1 you won't get max 50 every time you zone or log in I don't think. So it would work.

I really struggle with PVP rewards, threading the needle of great reward/not broken/not custom. First ever GM item on Red AON to Colgate lvl 1 toon by their friend Sirken ?????????????? Congrats Sektor Rile.

I need community advice. Titles is all good and shit but.

- unlimited charge pumice? Would that motivate someone to do the grind + the love of the game? Is it too custom? What would be the perfect reward for choosing to populate the world and grind. One free dragon/god loot? AON? COF? Mistwalker? Too broken? A title? What though Duke Lord, custom titles can get out of control. What about illusion potions 100 stacks or permanent illusions? Turns the box gay, modern, like a modern video game where you see rabbits tanks helicopters everything cool u can imagine and it just looks stupid. Too chaotic and goofy.

1 item from Kunark? BOH? A clicky? Gobby ear? Too custom. Epic weapon skins? Too custom. We have leaderboard already so rank/kills ego is already there, it's not enough needs to be something you can hold something tangible.

Best ones out of everything I can think of is 1 Dragon loot or / unlimited charge pumice.

You can get a No Drop Dragon loot item that is in game, a chargeless pumice, or a Title. If you want all 3 you need to reset 3 times lol?

I am going to try a different approach, I am definitely near custom noooooooo. That being said no changes effect how PVP plays in the end.

- You start with starting gear which are duplicates of the original items with one change, required 50/no drop. These items are based on Classic pre planar - Totemic/Crafted/Darkforge etc. Weapons are Soulfire/Darkforge/Exe axe etc. FBSS.

- If you wish you msg a gm who is on, get instant 50/max skills this is no longer done by script. You already have a full spellbook regardless because this can't be done by GM command.

- That is done this way now to prevent exploitation 10 50 geared warriors camped out at Naggy etc as Gloinz has said, I will have to personally level/skill each persons chars, I can have a better handle on it. People can have 2 50's with max skills each.

- If you choose to level your character, which will be fairly classic and slow, I'll have to test. Your starter gear will not work. Yet, the items in the world will function as normal. The FBSS off Frenzied will be droppable, usable any level, any class/level for example.

- If you get 50 without boosting. You will receive a Legacy item (Manastone/Guise/Mistwalker that do not drop) and a Veteran title. No PLing. One condition, as this is basically a GM quest. If people are caught PLing I will deny your legacy item. Grouping is fine. I am seriously considering adding AON, or a dragon item of your choice COF/weapon maybe. The rewards will be significant yet classic.

- Best of both worlds, you hate levelling just want to show up to bang - you can do it. If you wish to level your character you will be getting a significant reward. Populating the server, helping the project, and promoting world pvp, and most of all testing my content.
