a forsaken revenant -> Staff of Elemental Mastery: Earth (2001)

Howdy pardners!

Plane of Hate was changed March 14th, 2001. The new loot tables had "Staff of Elemental Mastery: Earth" dropping off of Magi P`Tasa as well as the male "a forsaken revenant".

I dug into the Allahazam pages for it. I asked on the Daybreak forums. It definitely dropped off (and still drops off) revenants. The only question is: Did that happen on the Mar 14 2001 during the Hate revamp, or later? Comments indicate it *may* have been 2003, but nobody knows for sure.

Can the p99 dev team consider a change to make this drop off male revenants? There have to be hundreds of mages on the server for which this item is their last piece. (Clearly I'm one of them). The reality is a duo of wiz+ench port to PoH and snipe the Magi within seconds of a quake. It feels like since the evidence for this loot table change is murky, but there's a possibility it was 2001, you have to make a personal call one way or the other. Why not make a personal call that benefits the players?

Nothing you have linked shows earth staff dropping off of male revs before 2003, so I don't know why you state this or think "nobody knows for sure". Yes, we do know for sure. The 2001 revamp made it easier to get all the old Inny epic quest drops relative to the old PoH because Inny 1.0 was really hard for most people to access.

Plane of Hate was revamped again in 2003. It became an XP zone with a typical respawn timer and new tiers of minibosses, new trash mobs over lvl 60, Marsinger quests, etc. That's when all the old epic quest drops were moved to old trash mobs.
