Friends.... business trip; 5 days; NEED P99 TO SURVIVE.

- I am taking my Mac Air M2.
- It used to run EQ Live just fine using Parallels Desktop w/ Win 11.

- But after installing a fresh copy of Titanium and placing the P99 files, I am erroring out. Both directly with the BAT file as well as trying to use WinEQ2.

- I can open EQ, log in, select my server, and right before the char screen, I get "illegal operation" errors.

- I am pretty confident it must be related to graphics, but I don't know.

Do I need a different VM app? I'll do anything! Please... PLEASE!! ;)

I don't know too much about Mac. It could be a hardware compatability issue. Running windows on Mac is still not a 1 to 1 setup. Have you tried setting compatability mode on eqgame.exe to windows xp?

You're thinking of Loramin, maybe? I'm a windows nut, not Mac.

That said - I think I've seen this particular thread before:

or maybe:

THANK YOU. I will try this as soon as I can and will report back for future travelers in sad search of some comfort when away from home ;)

I'm a windows guy, too, on my desktop. But one has to admit that Apple - already a proven craftsman of low-maint, rugged laptops - has now, through their M2 chip; 20+ hour battery life Air, exacted alchemy on the entire trade.

I use parallels. You may have already done so but have you tried the following steps?

In your EQ folder find the eqgame.exe file. Right click it then select "show more options".

Once there, select "properties". You’ll then see a few tabs, one of them will be "compatibility". Click "compatibility" then select the box to run compatibility mode, select Win XP (Service Pack 2) from the list.

Next, select "change emulation settings" at the bottom of that same tab. A new screen will appear for ARM emulation settings.

Select "Safe emulation" from the drop down menu.

Click "ok" to save all those settings and then relaunch titanium.
