hotspot problem

so im traveling.

got a new t mobile service on an older phone

hotspot internet runs great on any website, speed tested 35up and 15 down

but i can't connect to p99 login server

what gives?

Does the hotspot have any kind of firewall that blocks non-standard ports? Can you call support and ask if they block any ports? It may only be allowing 53/80/443 or something like that so the 'net seems fine.

Can you use a VPN service while connected? That should resolve it if support tells you to pound sand.

I've not looked too deeply - usually just allowing outbound on 5998 works for me.
