Cleric: Bang for the buck gear?

My cleric is really close to the attached. I got a little plat squirrelled away and need to make him respectable.

It feels like a pretty decent setup for then plat invested outside a +6 neck. Could definitely use some larger ticket items like a Tattered Flesh Veil, SS armor, Orb of Infinite Void, Hiero cloak etc. I just want him to be able to scrub a CH chain while I level up.

I don't know what "scrub a ch chain" means, but no one ever cared about my total mana. That's what the necros/mages are for.

I would prioritize velious clicky legs and bp. Mana free MoK and group heal are amazing. Thurgadin gear is the cheapest option. Having those 2 clicks has done more for my clerics healing capabilities than an extra 2k mana would (raid and cheal chain notwithstanding)

Beyond that, looks good.

Bare minimum for CH work. Like more than 2.5k mana and less than 4k is the goal.

I'm just over 3k now so think it will work out with a few levels.

Your cleric is well geared. You’re going to have to pay a lot for minimal gains. Maybe try to get scout roll. I wouldn’t go any further unless you actually want to start getting tov gear. For peak cleric fashion go for a kael plate set.

Swap mask, helm, secondary, neck for high CHA.

Go learn to be an actual cleric so you enjoy levelling it.

This looks good. You're asking the right questions and already have enough mana as-is to participate in a CH chain; remember, the baseline standard for comparison will be the gear worn by guild cleric bots, and they may only have around 3200 mana at level 60.

A couple of cheap mana upgrades to consider:

It's also worth rolling for scout until you get Talisman of Benevolence (https://wiki.project1999.com/Talisman_of_Benevolence) (or eventually just buy Nevederia's Right Eye (https://wiki.project1999.com/Nevederia%27s_Right_Eye) instead).

Note that the Skyshrine armor is a bit better than Thurg armor, but it's also much more expensive. The Thurg armor MQs are the best value for the price.

Finally, all of the comments about going CHA are good advice especially for duoing, but I keep a separate CHA set to swap out for this purpose. For the purpose of a CH chain, you want maximum mana, just as you surmised.

If you just gearing out for cheal chains - you’re there.

I will re-state though that if you want to maximize your clerics functional power that you invest next in velious bp/leg clickies. In a standard xp group you can manage to mana-free heal most content with mana-free clicky legs and bp. One gives a nice reverse DS that heals all melee. The other is a mana free 100hp group heal. SS is best stats but a lot more expensive. I did thurg on my cleric alt (now 60) and I can say it has saved me a heck of a lot more mana than my epic click ever did.

Those two items are must haves.

Plate house is an easy source of the armor - I looted mine on my cleric in either 1 or 2 runs casually. Beyond that it’s just the faction and gem.

yea I only really use the cleric for one more raid park or if we need heals that torp cant keep up with. It's mainly a char I'm leveling up to be helpful when in need. Plus of course, boredom.
