I have 2 accept the dream is dead, and the only PVPer's left are in fact seasonal private box blue players and actually don't PvP.

It was fun making The Perfect Box(tm). I am surprised how easy the skill level was to create it and change things in the database. I am also surprised you need basically no coding except for Yellow Text and PvP level range? I can't think of anything else.

At least we know that's not like some exclusive hard skill to have, it's like anyone can do it.

I will keep posting here naturally, but I think the box will be up during the days, and if no interest most likely gotta accept the reality on the ground.

Endless streams of ROZ boxes I don't think anyone even wants to do it again. Youll get maybe like the same 30 reets on ROZ seasonally like diablo reets and a small group of stragglers on Red.

Will it be all narcissists trying to act elite and cool? It's an exciting time for EQEMU PVP keep ppls updated. Start with a mage make an ench, maybe a porter. Real slow grind to soak it up. Stay up all night to get 50 first like the real pros do just sink hour and hours doing boring shit.

And honestly I know why. I played the last ROZ and got cheesed hard by chanters and necros charming shit and sending it through the floor in L guk, also with IVU your pet and send it with /target name, /pet attack.

Anywhere past ass was immune it never broke. So I adapt naturally.

You won't like the news Hazek. ResistDif is a fucked mechanic that is tied to level, resist type, and minimum resist chance. So I can alter the minimum resist chance higher, which effects mobs too. It is still unreliable and level based.

The mechanics doesn't allow it to work for NPC or PC difference, so the only option is make mobs not flee, roots/snares disabled PVE and PVP. Mes will work I might put a higher Resistdiff on mez.

Snares/roots are irrelevant if mobs don't run, the only thing is it feels shitty and they do have utility. But I can't bring it in without breaking PVP.

Kunark PVE isn't very difficult, have some tanks. TY for your time. The PVE is designed to be fast and easy. Pets are broken and I'm leaving them that way. I think they have 30 hp level 1? I'm not sure I think it's the regen rate that makes them broken.

Every group should have at least 1 mage. I don't have 2 box limit, play as many as you want IDC.

End game Kunark won't be super easy mode, I mean it'll be standard garage box Trakanon probably 20 people stacked properly etc.

But by that point you can manage without roots/snare kiting adds. Have a few tanks or don't do content.

I have a funny story with Gongshow/Engelburt. I was in KC just afk doing the Red99 PVP scene. They roll in just for me. I throw down anon and run down to like way deep basement undead in that water area deep down aon'd fd in a corner.

Start saying to exit my castle immediately etc in OOC. Gongshow comes down fd looking finally finds me 10 mins later. He tries attacking me Engelburt is there too. I just bail and FD down near Verix etc just keep train FD. Gongshow starts doing that too.

Eventually we end up with some serious trains floating around Engel has to peace out. Me and gong are breaking each other's FD's and he gets casters on him. I get a proc on him take him down low but didn't get the kill and he bailed out.

Then I kept hiding/afking etc and shit talking in ooc they eventually just left.

All dots in fact have been upped significantly I will go through today and lower them to P99 values... Because melees were not upped it's the standard 2x weap dmg etc.

Envenomed breath ticking for 70 at lvl 24 is absurd, fixed that one, stinging swarm was 30 instead of 13 so ill just do all sham/dru dots past lvl whatever 10. And necros.

- Went through all earth pet spells up to 60 and made root 100% resist chance.

- Cannot separate PVP/PVE/Resist #/Level Difference in the resist code... so Roots/snares are out PVE and PVP. I don't see a way of making it work unless I can rewrite the source code which I cannot. This is the only way I can manufacture classic resist rates IN PVP. Pve will be mildly broken. Mobs do not run. Can't really kite in PVE with snare. PVP considerations first.



TO DO

- Mess with Mez, it's in works PVP PVE. I will make it work so that when you are even level with decent MR you will resist.

But the way the code works, if someone who is level 30 is against someone level 60 they could have 150 mr and it would land. Nothing I can do about it, you see an ench you run if ur low level.\

EDIT- To the guy above yeah database work is fun for me. And I think EQ was the best game ever made. And I think the people running PVP EMU are narcissists (covert/shitty ones) and have ruined this community to try to look elite or cool.

Probably unfixable but I'll try. Kunark forever box is perfection EQ. Accelerated drops/exp through classic to get to Kunark end game PVP.

Also I played a sham and dots/slows land really easy it's very garage box feel. Which I prefer and can't change.

Anyone try blue or green99? Like 60% of your PR dots are resisted and shit that's classic.

400 mana or whatyever it was for an ebolt just to see resist. Classic PVP casters were not like they were here.

A druid would WD you and have dmg shield up and melee you and long fight it, he would clicky drones etc.

It was always mana preservation and slow going. Nukes would be heavily partial resists.

Actually I'll go through and do shaman/druid/necro dots and bring them in line to prevamped dmg. They are all 2X normal dmg. Weapons are classic dmg so it wouldn't be good.

Pro tip by big Raka - you can no longer bind in raid zones. I am not doing the city thing, no zones with a boss in them will be bindable. I may do the zone next to it if it gets common to bind rush from one zone away. After that people can set up choke points.

And by that I mean not be friends or be friends idc but focus on a recruit n contest method and not shit on people doing like the basics.

If people actually want guild vs guild pvp you'd cut people slack in the day to day shit.

I know we have psychos who wants to go crazy and that's fine too but the logical decision would be to put that on hold and pick off little bits once it's grown.
