Not sure if this affects other weps, but if I try to toss my pet a Fine Steel Spear alongside some other weapon, it just eats the spear (has been happening on both the 49 and the 52 SK skele pets). Giving it some other weapon later will make it equip that, not sure if giving it a 2nd spear at that point would help.
Imma update if can find some on vendors somewhere to check out how it goes down with different trade-methods, usually tossing em two weps at a single trade, and on non-spear weapons it works fine.
All right, when I handed another wep and a spear as the 2nd wep in trade, it didn't equip the spear. On a new pet, handing spear first and another wep 2nd made it equip the spear as well as the other weapon.
