The game doesn't seem to distinguish between meals, hearty meals etc. and will consume, for example, rations as fast as iron rations despite the fact that the latter is a hearty meal.

Food has no purpose on this server! If you run out of it, you still regain HP. This bug probably coincides with that one.

If you're hungry/thirsty your mana and endurance won't regenerate. Food and water still matter

I don't ever remember it being Endurance. Why would endurance matter? How many times do you require endurance to regenerate?

If you're a melee swinging your weapons over a long fight or if you're bunny-hopping across a zone to avoid being eaten.

Don't know if its the same problem as with rations/iron ration's duration, but I have noticed and found it odd many times that if your hungry or thirsty for a long time, when you then buy or summon some, you only eat/drink 1 piece. and are then again totally full
On live if you were eq. afk for a long time without food, when you then reaquired food and water you would eat/drink 3- 4 pieces within a short time.
You can also not eat/drink manually more than 1-2 pieces on p99 at any given time.
On live you could eat 3-4 pieces before you got the message about being totally stuffed, and then the game wouldn't consume food/water for a longer duration. I remember doing this with summoned food/water to avoid the game eating my miracolous expensive stat food/water later in game, but the meachanics was always there, also in classic.
It seems to me like food durations and quality of food is not totally implemented. there is a slight difference in duration of a snack and a meal, and also I have tested, Iron rations DO last longer than normal rations, but the number of pieces isn't implemented. Iirc you could eat propably 6-10 "snacks" on live or 3-4 "meals" if you were really hungry and thirsty.
