Possible Quest missing in Firiona Vie: A Dropped Journal

Was pretty difficult to find any solid information on this. I could not find any journals in FV on P99 and no ones added any pages to the wiki to imply anyone else has. Even if it was just a GM thing I'd be interested to see what the archive search engines say.

I'm not sure if the Journal first started to appear in Firiona Vie in April 2001 but thats when many of these posts appear. I'm not having any luck finding mentions of the items for too long afterwards either, so it possibly was only in for a very short time or was a GM doing a quiet event (mentions below). Kind of a sad reward for a GM to go out of their way for.

Seems that it could be related to the Lanys T`Vyl FV war in 2005 and mistakenly added then quickly removed?

A Dropped Journal should spawn on the Firiona Vie docks nearish to the first building on the right, to be delivered to Captain Silverwind in Kelethin.

“Captain Silverwind, After many months away, the beautiful Firiona Vie is finally returning to Felwithe. In the months after her rescue, she has spent a great deal of time resting and attending celebrations in her honor here at the outpost. News of her rescue has brought great joy to the outpost and will bring even greater joy to the city. Because of the many threats on the princess’ life, I have sent several messengers to you. Each will deliver to you a journal. Only one will bring you the correct journal of the escort plans. You will reward each of these messengers in a manner so that they shall not know which amongst them contain the true plans. Once you decipher the correct plans, you must prepare the city for the arrival. The Koada’Vie should be on the highest alert. I trust that you will have everything in place before we arrive. General Veredeth”

I was waiting for the boat to take me back to Butcher Block Mountians and found a dropped jounal talking about Firiona Vie's return to Felwithe laying on the dock. Does anyone have any ideas what it's for?

While waiting for the Maiden's Voyage my fishing pole broke. I ran to the nearest fishing house and on the way I found a dropped journal (obviously by a military official). I read the journal and it states that a general has sent a couple messangers to Felwithe with plans to get Firiona back to the High Elf city safely. It says that one messanger has the right book and to reward each with the plans but only one is right.

If anyone knows ANYTHING about this quest please tell me!!
The book is addressed to a Captain Silverwind, which I am still yet to find in Felwithe.
GMs won't tell me if the Captain is real or not and if the quest is working or not.

I picked up a book on the docks of FV. It is called a an open journal or something like that. Upon reading it i noticed something about felweilth (sp?) anyway didnt really read it much its in the back now
Anyone got some info on this quest?

A dropped journal appears on the dock not far from the first building on the right as you get off the Maiden Voyage. It is a note from General Veredeth to Captain Silverwind. Turn it in to Captain Silverwind for a little XP and a few gold. I got 19gp. I found Captain Silverwind roaming around the platforms in Kelethin.

|Take the book to Silverwind in Felwithe and you'll be rewarded with 25gp. The journal mentions that there are other books as well that were all going to Silverwind but only he would know which one contained the information he was looking for, or something like that.| |

Apparently u hand in 4 journals for a reward. The Journals hold the information for the escort of Fironia Vie back to Felwithe

|I finished this quest. Captain Silverwind is on patrol in the newbie area of Kelethin. <br>He passes regularly at the bank so i waited for him there. I gave him the diary and got 8 gp for it and little exp. <br> <br>Nasteel Gnomish Wizzy of the 17th Season| |

A GM actually handed a guildmate of mine this book, and demanded that he deliver it with haste. He was chased by 'elf assassin' from Firiona Vie to Butcherblock, where a few of my guildmates met him. After we escorted my guildmate to Capt Silverwind, the reward was exp and 2pp.
We 'spread the word' that great happiness should be had, upon Silverwind's request, but nothing happened. So after a couple hours of thinking what to do, we decided to head back to Firiona Vie and see if any clues had been left there. My, theres a book on the dock, right where my guildmate had been fishing, and the GM gave him the book.

From what I can only think of.... this is a quest in progress, and they're waiting for one big night for the return of Firiona to Felwithe. (GM EVENT) and it will be our duty to protect her on her journey home.

A search of the archive for "a dropped journal" turned up this rather spectacular Ayonae Ro forum with hours of logs of meetings discussing in-game events in the summer of 2001.

I grabbed the journal excerpt to quote below but there is a lot more to unpack here.

4th Gathering of the Council
The last sundays meeting was kind of short and also not many new informations came out.

These very few new informations lead unfortunately many people to lose interest and not show up.

However it is critical that you all are aware that we are expecting the festivities in Greater Faydark and with them the first big attack after the patch on May 30th.
This is TOMORROW!

The silence cheats us. We ARE at war and we NEED to be ready. We hardly have new informations but this if because we had excellent scouts that found out most informations already and since the last week simply nothing of real importance happened.

We are also still waiting for Firiona Vie to return to Felwithe with the enchanted stones to summon Tunare. We expect this to happen before the patch. Not much time to go for this thou!

We assigned more people to the armies and we have sent people to the cities of Ak'Anon and Cabilis. Also our existant scouting team will still be active and we have many scouts placed in the Faydarks to be informed asap once something happens.

The next meeting is set up exactly during the time we expect the festivities to be so it is critical as many people join as possible.
Get your armies, guild and yourself in gear, get ready. Now we really almost just can WAIT and be prepared.

The next gathering of the Council will be hold again besides the gates of Felwithe City towards to Lesser Faydark. The date is Friday, June 1st at 3pm PST, 6pm EST and Midnight CET. Make sure you join. We may already be in battle by then and even if we do not KNOW anything for sure, we strognly assume to have many news by then already.
