Out of the 3 hybrid classes + Bards, what do you guys consider to be the most "fun" to play? Not so much what the strongest class is for soloing or grouping, or needed for raids etc. But just generally speaking, out of those classes, what do you guys enjoy playing more, and why?
Obviously everyone will have different opinions on whats more fun / enjoyable than others, but I'm interested in hearing those opinions!

Snare + FD combo? Is that like to break camps? Snare the mob you want, let all mobs run to you, then FD to unaggro them, stand up and pull the snared one thats still running back?

Basically but the snared one should be stopped if ya used engulfing darkness or better. Get blood ember gaunts & greaves and enjoy mana free splitting.

I haven't played Paladin past mid levels yet, but I've played the others well into the 50's if not 60. They are all fun, imho.
SK is my currently favorite. In addition to FD, snare and their various combos, you also get instant invis which is very addictive. You can really explore anywhere and kill with impunity as an SK and the solo game ain't half bad either. Great snap aggro and access to evil races is also super fun.
Ranger is really fun outdoors, but suffers significantly indoors. Track is amazing, as are Harmony and SoW. I made a small fortune using them to good effect. Archery is also a refreshing side hustle to experiment with. Access to Root and Snare is very handy, esp. if you tank while leveling. The fun drops a bit mid 50's when outdoor mobs/zones start to be less relevant and the poor returns on AC for Ranger really start to make face tanking difficult.
Bard is super powerful. Selo's means you can travel everywhere at light speed. Huge kit of spells and lots of random abilities and items (eg illusions) to leverage. AoE and Charm kiting will take you to 60 in no time, but are very one note (less so with charm kiting). Like Ranger, it suffers indoors, but with Lull/Charm/Mez/AoE Snare you can still do good work with some skill and know how. If you're into meleeing, however, this isn't the best road for you.
Paladin seems like a fun group tank with Lull/Root/Snap Aggro and healing, but I haven't made it there yet.

Ranger is great solo or in group, has epics where one is a gimmie and the other is a bit more challenging but both attainable. Great for farming quillmanes and TT cycle. Decent clicky haste if you can attend regular scheduled sky raids. Does well in HoT gear. Can tank for fungi groups.
I’d wholeheartedly recommend if you like helping friends and doing trash clear raids like hate, sky, HoT.

Close call between Pally and Ranger, but probably Ranger.
I for the life of me can't get into my SK. Fear kiting is probably my least favorite way to level ever, and the disease cloud nerf makes tanking in groups less fun. I really enjoy Paladin in a solo environment. I enjoy crawling through Seb, HS etc and seeing what I can pull off. The Ranger on the other hand is much more fun for grouping/raiding. Depending on which I felt like I had more time for, i'd pick one or the other.
Also can't stand Bards. Twisting was not made for men like me.

Leveling a ranger at the moment and really enjoying it though I'm geared to the teeth/cheating :D
SK generally though. I love to pull and tank. SKs can do one or both of those well.

Personally I’ll always be a ranger at heart; such a fun class. The fact that 20 years later people keep reciting the same tropes and hate just enforces the underdog lover in me. If they had AA’s and the meta switched I’d likely immediately lose interest.

Bard is objectively the best class in the game period, but every hybrid is a lot of fun to play!

I leveled my Ranger on blue geared to the teeth (for an alt) but am currently playing a Ranger on Green as a fresh start with terrible gear. It’s a blast either way!

bard 110% because you can do everything, its kind of like a shm/enc hybrid with dual wield and plate wearing super powerful if you setup the twist macros and play smart.
please dont be the chudd that swarms naked to 50 and talks about how bards are only good at kiting.

For me, definitely ranger. Fun toolkit and the only dual wielding class with spells for the cool factor.
I really like bard too, but I need to really be in the mood to be a tryhard if I'm gonna play it. I refuse to play bard and just sit in the back of a group with mana song.

Voting Ranger
Ranger is the most difficult class in the game in that you need to have a good personality to truly succeed otherwise you gonna be lfg for eternity. This is known as the Yendor strat
The best ranger strat for most people however is to first roll a cleric or enchanter and leverage your usefulness to make a bunch of friends with all the other boring ass min-maxers and then after a while roll a ranger and impose that on them. This was my strat in the more neurasthenic phases of my life though I did Yendor it with like 2 of the 5 rangers I leveled into the 50's over the years
In essence, the best rangers are irl bards

Rangers are not for the faint of heart. Mine has all the toys including double epics & sky cloak and still gets slapped around like it’s nothing. I’m pretty sure a monk can tank an unslowed mob better than mine can when it’s epic slowed. 90% haste and a 25 self ds is fun though, pretty much the definition of a glass cannon. I would not embark on this journey without knowing that going into it then most classes can out tank you. With that being said, if I have a competent healer paired with some flame licks, I can hold aggro better than pretty much anybody. And you can pull like a boss in outdoor zones.

Just depends, ive tanked hot mobs, not that its ideal on my ranger.

Yet a ranger can tank any mob in the game without heals for 20 seconds.
So squishy tank or the best tank in the game every 72 mins, depending on your definition.

Nothing can fix their low avoidance (which is their biggest issue in xp content*) but if youn use all the AC buffs they mitigate the same as other classes on xp content.
* being hit more often does means your damage shield happens more often, which I suppose is a nice silver lining.

Ranger was a lot of fun until 50 but like Jimjam says, the avoidance is terrible. And I second Crede's statement, I found that even with slows, my ranger tanks content worse than a paladin (and that's fully self-buffed ranger). I quit my ranger at 52 although I had so much fun, because it was just a pain waiting for procs to land while I'm getting trashed with max hits in a row ("do I root and heal myself now before that proc hopefully lands soon, or after my slow lands and then waste some duration of the slow on self heals?")
But a really fun class --- paladin is def less interesting to play and much more dry, but more durable. I'm trying bard now in my quest to find my preferred hybrid

group has a bad pull, you get to laugh while they die then drag their pathetic corpses

Bard. AE snare the bad pull, mez casters/mobs that summon. Group can choose to zone/evac or stay and kill it all.
