I am wanting to play the old way and quest for my stuff from low level up. I was trying to find some guides for quests. I am level 10 human monk and have the orange headband. i currently have no weapons and half set of cloth.
i think it would be fun to find as many quests as i can for my own items adventuring around and exploring new places.
I only found monk quests as a guide and have gone as far as i can with the orange headband.
hoping to get some ideas for quests to go do or mobs i can hunt down
thanks

Self made monK?
On live what did I do? Been so long. Not much for low end monk quests.
Kerra Isle quest stuff is good, especially Kerran Toy.
Treant Fists and/or Gem Inlaid Gauntlets.
Bracers of Erollisi and Kerra isle quest bracer.
Weapon? Maybe Screaming Mace?
Once closer to lvl 20, Iksar Beserker Club
Iceclad Ocean Quests from Dogs?
LockJaw Vest.
Stonebrunt Haste belt Quest
Qeynos Badge quests.
If Human, Hero Bracers.
If Iksar, Bracer quests in guild
Get decent at tailoring and brewing, make your own cured silk set.
Most decent quests will be lvl 30+, so focus on the cured silk armor for now.

If you go after Lockjaw for the vest, he also drops an 11/35 2hb, but he is lvl 25.

For 1hb you could look into this… wiki says the mob that drops it is only lvl 16 and it’s not lore so you could DW them.

But the screaming mace would be a better offhand.

The treant fist quest is quite fun, magic punching plate hands too!

Cured silk is good for the early levels, netted/woven/mesh for hands&feet for wisps etc.
dalnir got a lot for a midlevel mnk, crescent armor, sarnak ears, fighting batons and some 2hb’s too

My monk Tranquellious on Green Server has been achieving great feats for the Ashen Order as well as the Silent Fist clan. He started in Freeport and was mostly solo. The wiki cannot be updated so here are some tips.
White Sash of Order: Hunt at the East Freeport gate if the West Freeport gate is busy.
Yellow Sash of Order: The deathfist belts from from Centurions. Most are only found in camps but at the western edge of the East Commonlands, Just southwest of "Orc camp 1" near the West Comomons is a lone orc centurion that will spawn. It's also possible to find lone centurions in the West commons themselves.
Orange Sash: Legionnaires are found in the West Commonlands. There is a lone one that sometimes spawns in the north area near the East Common zone. They can also be found at the orc camp northwest of the druid stones. There is sometimes one alone that wanders to the camp if you are solo. I think that one can also be a centurion.
Orange Sash: Greater Lightstones come from Wisps but the wisps are invulnerable. You will need a magic weapon or friendly mage to attack them. If you can get magic gloves (or even magic boots) then you can punch (or kick) them. Wu's Fighting Gauntlets are magic but they themselves require the Lightstone. While I prefer to retrieve the items myself, it may be best to just purchase this greater lightstone from someone in the tunnel. It is also used for an experience quest in the Karanas so that is why it is coveted. From the wiki, another option is to save coins and buy a Combine weapon from a gypsy trader (like the ones in Oasis) since those are magic. Still, 50 platnium coins will be hard to come by. Then you can resell it.
Orange Sash: Most Dervish cutthroats are in group camps but in North Ro, just south of the tunnel and wizard pyramid there is one wandering alone. These are also often found on merchants.
Red Sash: Attempt the Wand first because Befallen is lower level. The Priest with Mernak's wand is on the 3rd level down, but you need 3 keys to get out (you can jump down the well to get down without keys). The keys can be obtained down there but the 3rd key disappears when you camp. The priest and thaumaturgist spawn together, with the Priest being more rare for me. While you are there, be sure to get Mernak's dagger from the Thaumaturgist for the headband quest. Beware of the elf skeleton right behind the 3rd key door. It is stronger and casts spells. Often there will be a strong adventurer there hoping for mallet pieces from the elf. If you are lucky they have it cleared. Level 25 should be fine to do this solo. I had trouble doing it with two level 19s because the necromancer spells are strong.
Red Sash: The Sapphire is in Nejana which is stronger than Befallen. Level 25 is not quite enough. I trained in High Keep until level 30 and returned. You need at least 1 key to get to the thief with the Sapphire, who is in the jail cell area. The 2nd key opens the room beyond the thief. I did this with another level 30 I met there and it was relatively easy for us to make our way through. Though like all dungeons, if one monster escapes you may get trampled by all their friends.
White Headband: Turning to Qeynos, the gnoll pups were gone for me but if you wait or explore they will pop up outside Qeynos just outside the city. There are also a couple on the top level of blackburrow.
Yellow Headband: The putrid skeletons do wander qeynos hills but a better place to look is the skeleton stone north of blackburrow, which also has brown skeletons.
Orange Headband: The gnoll pelts are easy to get but the skin is rare. The skin seems to come from elite guards. There are two in the lake area up on a platform. Fight them then go around the lake in the back door, and up the ramp. Take out the commander and elites around him, and then shuffle around to find another elite near a small bridge. There is also another elite near a stool farther down. It took me about 4-5 circuits around blackburrow to find the skin.
Red Headband: Dareb and Shen were sadly slain. The high priests that hold their remains can be found a short distance northeast of the aviak town, where the town is almost out of sight (at least for me). If you see strong adventurers hunting for the troll Groi then you are in the right spot to wait. Before I learned that spot to wait, I found one of the priests wandering further east near some hills. You're looking for Phido and Grisok. Lenrel doesnt seem to be the one. Ghanex Drah is an undead gnoll and he is in the skeleton camp near the bridge back to north karana. He may take a while to come out of hiding but it only took me about 4 or 5 times clearing the skeletons for him to show up.
Purple Headband: Skull of Jhen'Tra is from the gnoll camp in Lake Rathetear right next to south karana. He is there during the day, not at night. Be careful because the camp will pop up with undead or gnolls right as the day switches to day or to night.
Purple Headband: Remember to get this from the Thaumaturgist in Befalled while you are hunting for the Priest.
Purple Headband: The coronet is in Permafrost, which you can get to through blackburrow and through everfrost. I attempted this at level 30 and even with a friend and a very strong adventurer clearing out goblins I still died twice because the blue goblins run wild and grab all their friends. I plan to come back around level 35.
Grim's Tiger Revenge: In Kithikor woods near the commonlands is a cabin to the left. Grim may or may not be there. Start it at 8am after the undead leave. Get Wolf Feet before you try this quest because the tigers are very speedy. Reggit tiger ran past me near the ruins stones that look like druid stones. Eenot tiger ran past me near the 4 cabins in the southest with the arrows. He even stopped to sit there for a second letting me bonk him. Those two tigers are south of the main path. The last is Kobb tiger who range Kobb tiger ran past me north of the main path. Kobb was west of the cabin with Grim (near the west commons) and near the 2 cabins (not the 3 ranger cabins with Morin). I cannot speak to their paths other than that. On my first attempt almost caught a tiger without Wolf feet but it was too hard. Then I ran into the strong strong cold elves which are in the middle of the woods, south of the Rangers and south of the path. BE CAREFUL!
Master Wu: Not an official quest but there are rumors that Master Wu himself was last seen in Lesser Faydark hunting orcs. There is an Orc camp with the Orc Chief just south west of the Rangers (with the bartender). The chief is not at the orc camp north west of there. The Chief has Master Wu's journal which will teach you how to craft cured silk armor.
Cured Silk and Wu's Fighting Armor: A quest of brewing Kiola in itself. The ingredients for Kiola can be found in Freeport and the cask too. You will need a level 12 Enchanter friend to Thicken Mana for Wu's tailoring. I was able to make ever piece between skill rank 70-75, though with many failures, especially on the Gi. To Thicken Mana you will need to befriend a wolf who can take you to Steamfont and then Lesser Faydark. Then they can turn you into a wolf while you are in lesser faydark. This will trick the evil brownies in the north west into selling you their magic spells. The poison vial you need can be bought from a cold elf in West Freeport, hidden behind a secret wall if you go out the gate then right. The wall looks a bit different in color. The cold elf is only there are night. You must sneak up behind him to purchase from him. Pearls can be purchased in the east commons from the lady in the small hut that is near the west commons.
Treant Fists: Master Puab will send you across the world and back so try to get Wolf Feet or a friend to magically transport you. Clawfist is in Kerra Isle near Erudin, in the main circular area (not the beach) inside a stone building. For me there were two "bannished kerrans." One outside the temple and one inside the temple. Both responded to my questions. I decided to deal with the one inside the temple (in the back lower area). The Skull Cap and Femur are easy enough to find on the second level of Runnyeye. Becareful not to go lower down because the goblins are strong. The Mace is in the Eye Gorge near the entrance to Runny Eye. There are 2 goblins that wander down the path. One of these has the mace. It took me 3 or 4 cycles to find it. The Alchemist in misty thicket is hiding with Mooto at the camp just to the right when you exit Runnyeye into Misty Thicket. Mooto is way more common. I slew Mooto maybe 10 times or more before the Alchemist appeared. Then you are back to Kerra Isle and finally back to Freeport.
If anyone knows the whereabouts of Master Wu or has found any more of his journals, please let me know.
