Eh, with bowquest and the amount of people fully geared and willing to camp you as you level, Red is a bit of a turd. I like it better than Blue, because I can actually play at camps instead of waiting on someone's list, but the PvP is not well fleshed-out and a lot of the player base is quite toxic. Even the Devs have largely abandoned Red. I mean, let's be honest, the OOC chat is a pit of filth and is generally NSFW.

Are there some really cool peeps? You better believe it, but I don't think that makes this some kind of glorious server. A Red 2.0 would be nice to kind of reset the power-gap and hopefully bring in a few less-toxic players. A lot of the old guard only play because they can hunt newbies, if they had the field reset and had real competition, I'm doubtful a lot of them would remain.

I disagree with ooc being terrible. Maybe at night time. 4 out of 5 days it's been wholesome for me. Especially in the morning. And global auction is a easy solution. And also putting ooc in its own window.

The OOC is fine in the AM, because we often don't have PvP at that hour. The moment someone dies, it seems obligatory for our neckbeards to post "Shitter Down" an arguably NSFW comment. And that's a reasonable comment by OOC standards, frequent use of "aspergers" as an insult occurs, as do text walls about sex acts. The fact you can find clean text does not absolve the rest of the chat that flows through there.

Again, I love Red, but I'm not going to claim it's pretty. It's an ugly beast, but if you can stomach the toxicity it's much better than Blue in my opinion.

Red is as stable as the players on it at the time. Right now it’s probably the most stable ever just based of mental fitness and lack of players.

Biggest problem I have is Velious. The pvp fights always tend to last forever and be very tedious and I really have no way of getting geared.

If it was locked at Kunark I'd probably be playing even with low pop, it wasn't such a gear gap and most people just had like an extra 800 hp or whatever if they were geared if that.

And bow quest sounds retarded.

Also the raids are very tedious gearing people up for a guild. I could muster up 45 mins to do Trak, VS is fun nice and quick, world dragons quick - just skip VP that's for the retards.

People say Luclin is why Live died, and I agree partially it was gay, but it started in Velious. Pandemonium guys with full NTOV shit and Primals, Gylen was unkillable monk etc.

Luclin AA's was the final notch mounts manaburn and ultra ht and all this shit neck beards killed it, but it really started in Velious.

Telen PDM SK could stand afk in a corner and beat me as an SK with a ring 10 and shit I would die to dmg shield as a rogue.
