Elephant Graph

I just learned about this thing called the elephant graph. What it is is a graph of the total economic influence globliziation has had on each economimc group from poverty to exessive wealth.

It places each income group on a graph, from left to right, and based on how high your income group is on the graph, indicatse how good globilization has been for you:

The short story is, that if you look at the graph from left to to right, you can see below, how thanks to globalization

The very poor: Starting from the bottom, globalism has helped them. They are the tail of the elephants on its butt. Awesome! Doing good!

The poor: You can see how globalization has rose a lot of poor around the world out of poverty, that's the back of the elephant. They are way up! Nice.

Western middle class: Then you see it kind of takes a big dive, that's the face and nose of the elephant. This group makes up basically western workers. Auto industry workers, anyone whos job got outsourced to 3rd world slave labor.

The rich!: And up they go! Look how high! The tip of the nose of the elephant is raising high above the water, we are all under. So to speak.

Now, the reason I am making this post isnt to attack the rich.

It's not to attack globalism. Obviosuly Globallism has helped the most people get out of poverty, than anything else in the world!

What I am saying is, that the only people that PAYED THE PRICE of globalism, are TRUMP voters.

So god bless them, for saving the world.

If you got a 3% raise last year and a 3% raise this year, you got "zero" in this chart.

e: and that "zero" is likely to be an absolutely larger figure than the whole income of a person in a lower global percentile with a higher growth rate.

it goes deeper than that tho

ppl in many poor countries can do more with $10 than we can with $100 and that also is partly a mindset issue westerners have gotten themselves into, while also coming down to legalities and taxes and regulations, IP laws, etc

ppl making bank bootlegging CDs/dvds in other countries still tho u wont see that here cuz of modern convenience and netflix and congress critters shutting down the free trade of information and hollywood bottlnecking the publishing and production of information

there was a slight boom in youtube content, however that is ded, and covid wounded it, dunno or dont think it will ever recover if you want to be a youtuber u gotta have an impeccable resume and a phd in social media manipulation now

i suppose a few niche markets that amaetures could break into and grow within will still happen, butt now ppl like asmongold, and even smaller studios all have multi person studios producing content to make money and the smaller ones barely break even, they make basically $12 an hr for their 12 hr day efforts producing content and technical knowledge they will be behind the food service ppl soon.

The solution is a strong government putting the boot to big megacorps and international banks, that cannot and will not happen tho. So G-d bless and enjoy the rapture!!!

At least we got p99 and r99 for the time being.
