Hi guys.
I'm back after many years of hiatus and pretty fucking excited about it! I am currently installing P99 using this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3wd2CV6qok
I just tried to launch the game from BAT file after installing patch updates from a few days ago following the video exactly, and I get this error message:
The instruction at 0x000000001000F0CE referenced memory at 0x00000000FFFFFFFC. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program
Seems I am the only person with this issue, as the commenters on the video do not mention having any such issue with their installs. NO idea what to do about this. Anybody have any ideas? I am not a PC person.
Context: The first time this error occurred, another error message came up -- something about compatibility of eqgame.exe that would would update next time the file is run. Obviously I did not run eqgame.exe directly, but retried the BAT with the same error I mentioned above, and no compatibility error this time.
Very stuck on this one. Really appreciate any input!
