Hello,
When trying to log in, I got the following message on (what should be) character select screen:
"One ore more of your Everquest Files are not the correct Titanium version for Project 1999. You will not be able to play until the files listed in red are replaced with the correction versions.
Click this link for more information.
spells_us.txt (3828781689)

My folder should be unchanged from the last time I logged in (Friday 11/18). I have not touched the folder or any files since then.

Thanks.

Download the new files here (https://www.project1999.com/files/P99Files56.zip)

Unzip that after it downloads, open the folder, select all the files and move them over into the folder where you have EQ installed.

No, all that data is stored on the server.

Hmm...are you sure you copied the files to the right place? Do you have multiple EQ installs hanging around? Did you play Live before P99?

To update the spells go to the wiki.project1999 web page and near the top right click on "getting started". Scroll down and click on "Project 1999 Files (V56)." This will download it. Go to your download page on windows and click that file which will open it up so you can see folders and files. Click "Ctrl A" to highlight them then click "Ctrl C" to copy them.

Next: Go to your Project 1999 Folder on the C drive or wherever, double click to open it, double click on "Sony" folder to open it, double click on "EverQuest" folder to open it.

You will see Folder and files now you hit "Ctrl V" to paste the update to your EverQuest game. Now, a window will pop up, click "Replace the files in the destination." And you're good. To see this visually you can check out youtube and El Hefe has a video on it

You did it incorrectly. Reinstall from source media, and re-apply the patch following the instructions carefully. The patch only contains modified files - some of the originals are still required so if you just drag a folder out of the zip archive and into your p99 folder you will lose the original (unmodified) files contained within the destination folder.

The default extraction options for a free program called 7-zip (7-zip.org) will maintain file and folder structure when you use the "Extract to ..." option and select your p99 folder. That makes this and future patches a simple right-click (if you choose to install as admin and select the "install to context menu" option) choose "extract to..." and select your p99 folder. Then, click "yes to all" when asked to overwrite - because it will only overwrite files and not folders. I literally just did this process because I felt like logging in and rezzing people and haven't logged in since the patch last week on this laptop.
