How to Restart Qeynos Badge Quest

I messup the second quest and hit Theodore Exanthem early and he died.

Since I don't have the first badge anymore from the turning, I tried restarting the first quest over but I can't get the Investigator to give me a confession Document.

I killed Guard Shilster and turned in his helm to Vegalys to get the Investigator's Briefing and then when I had that to the Investigator nothing happens and when I say "Hand me a Confession Document", to the Investigator in South Qeynos, nothing happens.

How do I restart the quest?

Did the kill mess up your faction? There aren't any quests in classic EQ that you can't repeat, it's not coded that way, if you're doing the turn ins properly the only barrier would be faction.

I got it working after trying it again and I got him to follow me finally. I got the 1st one done again. Thanks for the help.

I recently did this quest on two of my chars. Had to restart both and also redo one again during the rat test. Fun times
