Hey, I'm looking for suggestions for good places to charm kill on my druid. I was getting good experience in EK up until level 23, then I read that killing mammoths in Everfrost was a good spot but it doesn't seem to be, most of the mammoths are green to me and there are all kinds of annoying green adds running around as well.

Check out https://wiki.project1999.com/Per-Level_Hunting_Guide.
If you put in "Druid" and "Level 23" you'll get ... the various animals in East Karana, crocodiles in the Oasis, a frogolok for a quest in Misty Thicket, gargoyles in Ocean of Tears, and finally elephants in South Karana. The froglok has a very detailed entry, and the gargoyles even have their own separate guide entry.
All of those, except the froglok and the gargoyles, are charmable animals (and the froglok/gargoyles can be killed by a Druid without charming).

Hop around the Karanas. Plenty of animals.
At 28 you can head to Cazic Thule's alligator pit (best ZEM).
https://wiki.project1999.com/Cazic_Thule_Alligator_Pit
Also a little later on you can use animals in Overthere to kill sarnak berzerkers and get yourself factioned up for a free OT hammer. Not super important for a druid but if you plan on ever getting it, may as well make XP and save yourself the 2k+ plat.

Thanks, I'm definitely going to check out CT. I think OT will good be a good spot as well to get some buffs and hammer will be nice so I can bind somewhere else.

According to the wiki the mammoth spawns in Everfrost have been changed/nerfed since the original guide entry. I'm mainly interested in charm killing (enchanter main) and it looks like there are currently no good spots for my level-range that I'm aware of. I guess I'll have to be less anti-social and group up for a while.
Not true at all.
As lora and I said...karanas are prob where its at for you right now.
You need to use track to find the blue mammoths in Everfrost. I did that for a lot of levels. It's decent money (10pp per tusk) and there's a merchant right there where you're fighting. Moved from there to CT. Never figured out the pit, so I waited until I was high enough to do the alley and it was really good xp. And I kept looting shovels/brooms and selling them in EC for 100p each.
Went from there to Iceclad. There are dire wolfs you can charm there. Not good money, but I thought the xp was decent.

Did this on my magician but wished I'd done so on druid too, alley is good @ 32 like the wiki suggests
Once the alley slows down around 36-37 you can easily switch to charming Bloodmaw (https://wiki.project1999.com/Bloodmaw) in GD, level 20 warrior mob with 50k hp. The mob itself doesn't do any damage but tossing a good DS on it will slowly eat away the hp of the other kodiaks bashing on it. Can use lowest or 2nd lowest level charm too so mana is not an issue.

Personally, I found the animals in Overthere to be extremely resistant to charming. There's a wide range of levels/places to hunt in that zone though, so I may have just tried the wrong part of the zone or something ... YMMV.

Did you try it at level 38 after CT gators?

Honestly, it's been years now and I don't remember, but I think I tried both once at earlier levels (20s), and once again in the 40's?
But since it's been so long, I'd be curious if anyone else had more success (and where they were/what level they were).

I'm back from a break and got the druid to 35 in CT. Thinking about trying that charming Bloodmaw in GD method. I know the DS is going to take care of most of the damage, but I'll throw him a torch + some kind of 2h weapon. What about the Halberd that's 14 damage and costs like 30p from a vendor? Or is there a better cheap weapon.

iirc you only need a torch for quads - i suppose you could toss him a level 20 or lower proc weapon (wakizashi maybe?)
bind at bloodmaw, when he gets low...ring of commons for a potg then gate back and get going again

Don’t think animals can equip items?

Having leveled my druid on Bloodmaw I'd say nay to giving him weapons, the dude is level 20 and the things he's fighting are low to mid 30s. Most fights lasted a while and he maybe landed 3-5 hits, the DS is the workhorse in this situation.

I might just head to OT/EJ and keep on charm killing. What's the best druid weapon besides epic if I don't plan on quadding or anything?

Doesnt matter, but Oakleaf or Skyfury Scimitars would be fine. That's what I used til epic anyway.
Its just a stat stick.
You have an accurate character magelo? Could try to help point out gear upgrade ideas for ya. You're almost to the point where you can port for plat (you really need cobalt scar port but can do it earlier) and get some nice gear for chardok / pits later on.
I'm a big fan of +HP for charming druids. Your max mana pool doesn't mean as much as being able to survive the oh shit moments.
edit: holy smokes, this item is pretty insane for its cost (like 10% of the scimitar options): https://wiki.project1999.com/Dark_Ember

My main is a 60 enchanter so I didn't plan on porting for money, more to help friends, etc. It's also been nice to have a druid to run around and drop off/pick up items and all that stuff. Didn't put much thought into the gear, mostly whatever I had lying around. I bought a fungi for my paladin also level 35 now and going to get a zheart for the chanter soon so that takes care of most of my savings. So in the short term maybe I could drop like 5-10k on the druid if it's worth it.

Gear is perfectly suitable for what you're doing. A little light on HP but you're probably more cautious than I was with my druid.
Tunare worship? The DS gloves are incredible for charm lyfe. Also a velious BP + wrist would be a pretty big deal for the clicks.
Otherwise you're good to go.

I mean even not quadding a lumi staff (https://wiki.project1999.com/Luminescent_Staff) is useful.

True. I didn't realize he didn't have a velious wrist for free drones either.
If hes not trying to invest plat into items he can't sell later because the char is essentially a mule / assist bot, Lumi may actually be better.

Personally I did grobb to like 52. Lummi burns them down and they average 15-17p a kill now. stick near the zone line and profit.

Good suggestion but I just did a few levels there on my Pally and need a change of scene.
Also are the elder spiritist's legs the only druid heal clicky besides robe of the spring from VP?
