Hello all, hoping some experts could weigh in to clarify this for me. I remember back on live people would always tell ya hit your soft cap AC then focus on HP & primary Stats

Is there an AC value I need to hit as a monk on p99 or is there a confirmed soft cap for leather wearers? Does AGI get factored out and only focus on true AC number values off worn items only?

Thanks in advance!

On live it was thought 1300 AC would max your curve against all mob attack values except avatar of war (against which sufficient AC was unobtainable).

Mob atk values seem to be very differently scaled here though. Sorry.

You won’t stop seeing improvements until 1850.

You won’t notice a soft cap at any point until 1850.

No one has parsed higher than 1850ac either.

I’m not sure what your style of play is, but if your lvl 57 doing solo or group content I wouldn’t worry too much about AC. Monks mitigate damage well regardless of gear.

Supposedly the negative impact of being above the monk allowable weight is significantly greater than the AC decrease you’ll see on the client. My recommendation would be stay below that and then gear with whatever’s a good mix of stats you want.

I shoot for 1200 ac and 1200 attack self buffed. It seems to work well against melee mobs soloing.

I dunno Mr, I need more data to see how helpful that ac really is :p
