High End Ranger PLing - What zones?

PLing my ranger bud, he's level 21. Currently using a 60 druid with robe of the spring, manastone, etc to PL. Assuming a druid would be the best means to PL at this lvl range (also have a geared 60 monk and just about any other class). What zones are the best option for this level and what zones will be good for future levels?
Been so long since I've played I can't remember all the options anymore.

Just going to be a 2 person PL operation. I'm not looking to learn the barding AE ways either. Basically Druid or Monk PL options. thx

Goto guk,stay there til about 25. Then goto sol til low 30s,then CT til Bout 40.
All old world zones so the pain rock works fine
It'll slow down after 30 anyway,when druid pl starts to fall off. But still effective

oh man sounds fun, if you havent explored the castle inside mistmoor would be a fun thing to clear together.

Also if you havent explored cazic thule thats a great place to go at 21 too. Id go there to 30 then do 30-35 in the MM castle

instead of MM do SOLA if you havent explored that. or if you do mm to 35, at 36 go to sol A and kill everything till you ding 37, then zone over to solB

Also dont forget runny but at 21 you kind of have.

then solB would be the obvious spot for 35+. or lower guk.

really just any classic zone for you two to just mow through would be fun imo

as someone that solo'd in mistmoore on a ranger from 35-39 its a fun moment when you realize how the backstairwell via the jail, the princess's bedroom, and the front foyer all connect.

just make a twink lowbie and level with your friend, hes leaving the server when he sees the raid scene. so the faster you PL the faster you're gonna lose a friend on the server.

Just use the Druid to nature skin and regen him and then have him log the Druid and nature skin and regen you and be sort of invincible but progress normally, so he can learn the game and getting himself bags and backpacks but without having to sit and get hp so much.

The easiest way to do this is to pull 25 mobs with snare, use a fire DS pot along with ur thorns on urself, and have the ranger do 1 point of damage to each mob, then sit until all of the mobs are dead. Your thorns should be hitting for around 70, and this method should be efficient assuming u have a decent HP pool until 40ish.

From there u can do things like charming in kedge, charm a mob, stick charmed mob on another, get both mobs low, break charm, ranger kill.

Otherwise don’t pl a ranger, it’s the only fun melee class to solo and group on. And are absolutely dogshit useless at 60. I have two. Their corpses rot all the time.

But since you have an 1800ac monk. Use the Druid till 50, then FD PL with the monk in neriak arena till 60. Nothing will be faster than that.

we are basically a couple old dudes that hardly have time to play anymore, so when we get on we need quick easy access to PL.

Check out the wiki's for the zones there and look for some named mobs, and try to clear your way to the items that sound interesting, in the zone that does IMO!

Definitely think the kedge advice is solid too, as a (likely better, but swimmier) alternative to SOLB

Camping the lava elemental in sol A youll be like, "WTF there is content like this in this game!? Ive never even known this!"

Came here to say this, SolA is vastly superior to upper guk or whatever was suggested for the 20's, and Sol A can take you well into the 30's at which point you hop over to Sol B or paw. (Or if you're a fucking pro, dalnir)

Although I'm not sure why one would want to PL a ranger until the 40's at least. They are one of if not the funnest class to level twinked but at end-game they lose some of their appeal.

It’s not basic ranger information though. You asked the best way to PL a lvl 20 melee with a 60 Druid using a manastone and a Vp robe. Putting ranger in the subject line and no specific content to discuss creates a laissez faire environment.

In short though…

Pick a zone. Use your 32pt DS on the ranger. Kill blues as quick as possible while never running out of mana. Enjoy the ambiance of EQ without the struggle of EQ. /thread

It's a compounding issue. Being vague doesnt help get succinct feedback.

I'll post or bicker at the drop of a hat. If this was my conundrum I'd probably just get to grinding. The ranger's track can even sort by level range. At 22 it gets harmony. So almost any outdoor zone if the lowbie wants to learn to pull, I guess.

By using Shovel of the Harvest and swapping in Scimitar of the Emerald Dawn to also get offhand swings each round. :cool:

Ranger, outside of Monk is probably the funniest melee alt to roll. I quit mine on blue at 56. But 20-40 in mistmoore was so fun.
