So I'll probably have to buy my Necro Epic.
Right now, I can farm about 500p/hour. Is that decent at level 57?
I need to raise about 250k. That's like 500 hours of farming.
I guess I could do CE groups in Seb?
I obviously don't expect people to give up their money making secrets, but is it more efficient to go after big ticket items or consistently grind away at getting smaller, easier items to sell?

Depends on what you have the stomach for. Back when I was WFH, it was easy to sit at a camp for a rare named spawn with rare loot ( Hierophant's Cloak, JBB, etc) and just kill 1 mob every 28 minutes.
Nowadays, I don't have the stomach for that shit, so I just prefer passive income while exping. (Gem drops, FS weps, etc)
The bigger ticket items are 100% worth it if you have the stomach. Could get lucky and get a rare spawn / rare drop within the first few cycles and make 20k + in one drop.
Or, you could spend 40 hours at a camp before you get a drop. (or give up on the camp)
Best money making is raiding though. Burn the DKP and then sell the loot in EC :)

Could camp stuff like Pained Soul and sell the MQ.
It can go really well...or....not.

Droga can be 1k an hour if you're quick, the skins/salts really juice up the pp/hour. Another way is to buy droppables on raids to sell if your guild allows that.
Raw plat per hour versus rare drops is probably slower, but less streaky. If you're really after the necro epic, joining a raiding guild is a lot easier/faster to get the slime blood!

Thanks! Yeah, I considered Droga. I assume the skins/salts are still in high demand? I imagine so.
Yeah, I technically won a roll on a Slime Blood a few days ago...but didn't realize the 'last piece' rule was in effect...

I used to massacre Sol A with my pet and truck bags of fine steel weapons and that ore that sells to vendors well to the druid NPC outside. I think it was about 500pp/hour-ish
Problem is there’s often lowbies trying to exp in there and I refuse to be a dick and keep killing everything even if I was there first since I get no exp
For lev 54 I was killing these specters outside the EJ zoneline and was surprised to see they sometimes would drop a piece of jewlery that would vendor for like 100+ pp, like star ruby something. Unfortunately it was pretty rare so they weren’t great pp/hour
If you could find mobs that dropped that jewelry on the regular that would be good money tho. I personally would rather grind stuff than sit and stare at a wall for hours camping something. At least with grinding you are actually still playing the game. But yea it’s def less money overall

Yeah I used to farm Sol A with my monk for awhile. It seems like most the groups happen in the Bar or Throne Room areas, so I farmed at the opposite side.
The Felwithe guards reliably drop Two Handed Swords which vendor for 20pp a piece, but I can only kill 8 every 24 minutes. So it's realistically, like 400ish per hour +/-.
But it's consistent. I'm only level 57. I could camp named mobs for an hour and then they drop an item that MIGHT sell for 100p in the Tunnel.
Maybe I'll try Droga.

High level enchanter can solo content that it usually takes very strong groups to handle.
It is not unreasonable to farm 40k/day if I bother to try at an enchanter only camp.

I’m a tiny pixel away from 56 on enchanter with garbage gear:
2x opaline earring
2x 5/55 rings
Drake hide legs
Gatorscale sleeves
Incandescent gloves/mask
Crude stein
Rod of glamour
Loam belt/shoulders/back/boots
Amulet of insight
Blackened crystalline robes
Sarnak ceremonial dagger range
This entire set of gear you could probably get for less than 2k pp nowadays and it puts me at 250cha buffed. I had this set of gear when I was level 15 because I did the bandit sash quest in queynos a ton and bought it from EC
Your mana pool is largely irrelevant. All that matters is your mana regeneration. Once you can have clarity, theft of thought, AND wandering mind on your bar (which I recommend) and choose to fight somewhere that has caster mobs, you can go forever without needing breaks unless a lot of shit goes wrong. You just theft of thought + wandering mind drain casters every chance you get. You don’t even have to kill them, can just mez them after you drain their mana to blur them
You would think your health and ac matters but it really depends on where/how you fight. If you play it safe like I do and mostly fight outside, you can space out the mobs to the point where even if charm breaks 3 times in a row, the mob can’t close the distance to you before you can mez and re-charm it. So I am literally never getting hit, and on the rare occasions I do, I have 2 runes up. So the fact I only have 1200 hp, about 800 less than most enchanters my level, is also irrelevant
Now if you want to go for high level mobs at the bottom of dangerous dungeons, then yea your health and total mana will matter mostly only for charm breaks, which can kill you
But it was realizing that I could go all the way to 60 in my scrub gear that kept me playing, otherwise if I had to group or raid for better gear I would have quit p99

So the fact I only have 1200 hp, about 800 less than most enchanters my level,
Very few enchanters have 2k hp self buffed at 60
Im at 1905, or 1922 if I swap out a bracelet and my gear is a lot more focused on HP than many enchanters are able to do
The advantage to a large health pool is keeping out of low hp agro range, with the added benefit of being able to bind wound to higher hp,being able to bind to 950hp is very nice, makes recovery from bad situations much faster.
I die more to critical pacify fails than charm breaks.

If you don't have any ingame friends or aren't good at Enchanter or Shaman, your best bet for big cash is converting DKP to raid drops to sell, pick an EZ low stress class, log in for easy kills that don't take very long, sell the loots, enjoy.

I'd be a horrible fortune teller.
Think of all the wild lies you have to tell people everyday.
Some days you may not have the energy to be convincing so you shrug your shoulders and tell them 'I dunno...your dog is gonna die tonight or somethin....I dunno..."
I would definitely slip up and do something like that. Or crack a smile when I tell them their Bitcoin will make them millions.

Drusella is definitely the best plat farm in the game
You could try soloing the south cubby mobs and try to get fingerbone hoops and hand of the reaper
If you know how the spawns work you can manipulate your odds to pump them out too.
But even then it's chump change
Seb bugs never fails either

Just one Urn MQ and I could finally get my Epic and Z-Heart...well, pretty much anyway.
I know how people solo her.
I just don't know if I have the patience for it.
I have severe ADD, so I'll lose interest and latch onto hard drugs in a few weeks anyway.

yeah seb bugs is nice because you dont have to deal with other people / the tunnel
just load up bags full of gems and go sell
never will be as good as A4 / drusella / SG but the low risk + not having to tunnel is nice
id say one camp in between seb bugs and the hotly contested camps is that upper floor of ABC - Froggy (bard eye pull helm 5-6k) and Armsman (Truncheon of Doom 10-12k)
theres even a 100% safe spot you can AFK at...outside the door to armsman room you can hop up on that railing, facing the little corner, and can safely med/AFK
If you make mistakes just skip the paci / clear to Froggy for a few cycles just make sure you keep armsman PH down, its less mobs are moar monies

ToD was very good before they nerfed procs and you could stack dex for quick procs and swap. 50% slow is pretty big when you could almost guarantee a proc in the first 20 seconds with it.

There are a lot of solo warriors out there these days for some reason. Can get a lot of mileage out of truncheon + bloodpoints.
I've done some wild stuff on my war using it w/ a cleric duo (but ive also got vyem whip and over 5k hp). It really opens up being able to duo w/ necro, druid, and cleric. Its a nice break from the shaman duo meta.
Definitely still worth 10-12k given its drop rate.

Gnome solo warrior build. Gnome haste, str, dex clickies. Truncheon, Bloodpoints, Herbalist's Spade, Snare whip, Fear axe (sometimes). Cobalt BP and embalmer's skinning knife for self heals.
While there certainly are more efficient methods to level, and you definitely get caught with your pants down from time to time, if you pick your spots right, soloing a warrior can be fun. I had a blast. I mean I definitely took groups whenever I could, I did 55-60 in chardok, soloing at ent and grouping at CE.
I also agree with you that ToD/BP's are super nice for opening up small group options.

The most fun part about having the proc kit on your warrior is never landing the proc when you actually need it to.
I had everything on my warrior level, 2 stun items, snare, vyemm whip, truncheon, blood points , etc etc
I'd have mobs to 40% before the slow would go off or the mob would run well away before snaree would land or the stuns would never go off while the mob was actually casting.
All while being one the most boringly simple classes in the game

I am guessing he means that they normalized the proc rates for all weapons at some point on the timeline.

And an equal number of times the procs land early and a lot.
We're predispositioned to focus on the negative side of a balanced equation.
Agreed though, solo war is dumb. Truncheon allows you to duo with more classes than just shaman, though.

If you have a bit of space to move : click off your haste item and joust until proc, fungi will offset a good chunk of the incoming pre-proc damage.
Made my 59->60 at WL geos that way, easy peasy.

If you have a truncheon, duo possibilities open up to cleric, druid, and necro as well.
Not always a shaman available to duo.
We all know its not nearly as good as a shaman, but off-meta isn't completely devoid of fun either.
I got some sick XP on my war duo w/ a cleric. We were nearly full clearing frenzy / CE / up top on spawn.

Warriors are huge plat sinks and all you get in return is a useless codependent class.
Spend 10k twinking the caster and learn to solo things
