Well we know they said they wouldn't do it earlier than the beginning of 2023. I would love to have it happen sometime early next year...the server population is such that both servers are pretty bland in terms of pop size. Lots of ghost town zones, harder to buy/sell items at times because just not as many sellers/buyers, etc. (not that you wouldn't still have some of that with just one server, it would just be less).

The experience on both servers is mostly the same at this point. Top heavy, mudflated, etc. Might as well merge so it's even easier to find groups throughout the level ranges etc.

Whether they’ve got the stomach to make a new server again I guess is the question, and this isn’t just because I’m a pvp guy but I think we would see a new red first

TIL that you wanting to do the most valuable camps in the game whenever you want means a server is too populated.

Most zones are ghost towns. The economies on both are relatively stale. The lower level leveling scene is not great on either server (neither is the leveling experience until like the 40s and CoM for that matter). Classic + 2 expansions has never been good for less than 1,000 people, it's not a healthy population for it.

my money is on a blue green merge only if Rogean/Nilbog want to but i think it's going to require lanterneq to launch a full release and/or pantheon is going to have to reach some type of milestone.

Raiding scene is same as it has always been on blue.

Two top tier guilds (riot and vanq currently), I would say we are even and both guilds doing very well with high morale, which is awesome!!! We have got the last few vulaks but riot has kicked our butts on other mobs too so it goes back and forth like usual, at least no one is 100% dominating the other anymore.

Even casual guilds are competing like crazy on quakes!

But I think there will always be people saying it's toxic etc because they get too caught up in politics/nod.

I mean pretty sure Sky is still on rotation between guilds. There is also a (monthly?) draft where guilds select content for a week that only they can do. Seems to work out fine.

When P1999 had 2100 online most the raid content was held down by a couple of guilds. When there are 700 online, most the content is held down by a couple of guilds. That hasn't changed. Said guilds are never very exclusive, the gates are in this case wide open for anyone who feels like joining.

The main place a high population hurts some is in the higher-end smallman game since profitable cash camps tend to become a lot more contested as population increases, but even that balances out somewhat with a better economy in the sense of getting quicker or more profit when you do get said camps. The leveling game loves having people. Overall higher population is more good than bad.
