Does the pre-nerf CoS + FD trick still work on Blue server?
I tried it a couple of times - I could've been doing it wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if that got patched.
If it wasn't clear, I'm talking about the trick where you FD and then immediately jump up and invis.

Interesting. I probably messed it up when I tried it.
So you can stand up and quickly invis before the mob returns back to its original spawn point and lose aggro?
Or do you have to wait until they reset back to their spawn point? I figured that's when you lose aggro anyway.

Circlet of Shadow was also affected when P1999 nerfed sneak splitting. It no longer insta-blurs. Strictly speaking its behavior has never acted 100% classic on P1999. Once in awhile you'll blur from the feign but mostly you need stuff to return to spawn.

Alright, so the mem blur is not exactly 100% reliable.
Much like FD is naturally. Well, post-level 30ish anyway.

there is also the issue of the server tick

The issue is that only mobs under level 35 always mem-blur on feign death.
Mobs over level 35 do not always mem-blur on feign death. So that trick is only 100% reliable on mobs under level 35.

^^^
As above is a huge impact. Notice the 35+ FD pulling lack of mem blur issues then, haha.

True. Pre-Nerf CoS doesn't really do the mem blur trick like the old Sneak pulling days.
BUT...A couple of days ago, I had to FD and I happened to FD right on top of another mob's spawn point.
Sure enough, the mob spawned on top of me while I was feigned.
Sometimes there is a second or two before a mob attacks you when you enter it's aggro radius.
I jump up and quickly hit my insta-CoS and the mob never aggroed me.
So in scenarios like that, which are admittedly rare, the pre-nerf CoS really shines.
Same with running past a mob that suddenly spawns. If you're fast, you can avoid aggro.

This is why Monk FD is so OP. Monk can get anywhere as long as they feign before the server tick and aggro.
I don't know the exact level/faction paramaters, but on a blue con or lower mob, if scowls, it takes 1/2 a server tick (3s) to get aggro. So on a monk, as long as the mobs are blue or lower, you can run past everything flopping every 3 seconds, and never pull a single mob off its spawn.
I flopped down to Trakanon recently and didn't aggro anything on the way down. Tested this on Trak, and it didn't work because he's level 61, so aggro is instant.

Yeah, the "instant cast" of FD alone is great on Monk.
Sneak pulling must have been amazing back in the day.

I've found it works pretty reliably on greens, but way less reliably on blues.
