Unable to Enter Game

When I attempt to enter the game on either blue or green, it freezes on the character select screen with the enter game button pressed in, eventually sending me back to the main screen where user name & password are entered.

Strangely enough it allows me to log into red completely and play without issue.

Any idea what could be causing this issue?

I uninstalled and deleted all p99 related files and did a full fresh install, still same issue.

To see if it's an issue with my computer, I installed p99 on my wife's laptop. Same issue. Crashes when logging into blue & green, but not red.

So it's either my ISP or something is wrong with my account for some reason.

Yeah, the next step would be verifying connectivity. Use a VPN, your cell hotspot, or take your wife's laptop to a friend's house (with a different ISP) or the library or something.

! am having the same issue, i have reinstalled from the ISOs, patched and made all suggested changes to settings and such, still nothing.
let me know if you figure it out , oh i also tried a vpn it didnt work either.

Try setting windowed=true in your eqclient.ini and set the windowed resolution to something simple and in a 4:3 aspect ratio - like 1024x768. If you can get it running, then play with the display settings until you get something you can live with that still works.

Are you on Win11? There're a few threads with suggestions for issues with that version.

After reinstalling the gamei copied my OLD eqclient.ini and pasted it into the new folder , everything worked after that.

I take that back , now i cant log in to a server at all , oh well

I remember I also had a problem with logging into the game, it turned out that when I ran the launcher, then there are two options, an error screen appeared, or it started with artifacts on the screen. I managed to fix this error by downloading the same version of the launcher, but through thepiratebay (https://unlockedpiratebay.com/), through which I started the game. With logging into my account I had no problems, so it is likely that you either gave the wrong username or password, or you were blocked. This can be fixed by restoring your password or login in via Email.

So after a complete reinstall and a windows update and using wineq2 i was albe to log in!
