Project 1999 got suggested to me by a guy in my weekly Pathfinder game. I’m here because EQ was my first MMO and I have some serious good memories from the Kunark - Velious era. My main was a halfling Druid on Rodcet Nife and I started shortly after Kunark’s release. I ended my EQ playing during Planes of Power but Luclin was the start of the downward slide for me. Introducing teleporting seemed to make the vast world I came to know seem so much smaller. I am hoping to get set up and get on blue tonight and see what of my past I can relive.

Thanks I for having me!

Welcome to P99 Solimanius!

Why blue though? lol xD

Why not Blue?

Both servers are very similar at this point, but Blue is the longest running/most well-established server. As a new player you're more likely to get gifts on Blue, be able to level up with well-geared party members on Blue, etc.

It certainly seems like a reasonable choice to me.

I agree with Loramin.

Cool guys from 2011 are gunna jump on blue and peak their head in to say hi with their old toons. Those guys don’t have accounts on green.

The intention is to relearn the game on blue and maybe create a new characterr if it is decided green will restart or another server like green does the progression thing from base content. I am told it may happen. I know people from RL and from my online PF game that play on blue so I wont start alone. Not looking for gifts, but I wouldn't turn things down.

Mainly looking to recapture some of the fun I had from those days.

What class/starting location are you thinking about?

Oh, that reminded me (thanks Jib!): OP if you're looking to relearn the game you'll definitely want to check out our version of Allakhazam/Caster's Realm/etc. ... https://wiki.project1999.com!

In particular, you may want to start with the https://wiki.project1999.com/City_Starting_Guides (https://wiki.project1999.com/Players:Adventure) (perhaps starting with the Newbie guide (https://wiki.project1999.com/Players:Newbie) if you've forgotten everything). Once you pick a starting city, you might also want to check out the appropriate starting city guide (https://wiki.project1999.com/City_Starting_Guides).

I was a druid before, but I always thought the enchanters I grouped with were cool as hell...so I all go that route initially. I know druids are really mobile and can port, but I'd like to try chanter. CC and being usefull outside being a healer(what I usually play in MMOs) appeals to me.

Enchanters are powerful! And difficult and fun to master especially if you're returning from old school EQ. You can really do some fun stuff with them.

I want to go ahead and create my druid and enchanter. ability point allocations, can you recommend them to me?

Max out wisdom on druid and int on chanter? or is cha more important?
