Starting after the posting of this message the first person who is able to successfully able to loot a Scute Shield off the elusive dunedigger in North Ro will be the winner of a Fungi Tunic! The shield has to be looted after this message is sent, and will be verified by CSR thru logs.

Be aware that Dunedigger is only a level 14 mob. This contest is open to the entire server. Good luck, and contact me thru discord after you are successful.

Dunedigger is the biggest troll.

Cute story on live I randomly logged in one day on my gnome wizard by the central derv camp. Running around behind there. Low and behold Dunedigger. I killed him. He dropped the shield and later that day I gave it to a warrior I grouped with. I wasn't even looking for him. This is all happenstance.

True story. This happened some time in kunark. On live. Back in the real day of real EQ on a real server. I can still see him now as I rushed to nuke him. Something like that sticks with you a lifetime.

I have long wanted to put on a similar serverwide event for some pixel rewards, but I just couldn't think of anything interesting like this.

The Gms do enough for this server, do they really have to throw events to keep you entertained? Maybe try donating once in a while and posting something nice.

I've been active since beta, have donated literal thousands of dollars by this point, and 'nice' is subjective. I post the truth.

The simple fact is we used to have GM events often. Now we never do. Now it's on the players to fill that void.

Still no Scute Shield, 1 year later. Been trying for months.

That sucks. According to my personal experience, and a friends.. you should get at least 1 within 3-6 months. Follow up question - Is this still an active challenge? Like can be redeemed by as many people that can pull it off? Or it was one and done.
