No Character/npc models in game

Hello Ive followed the instructions on this forum to setup EQ on my PC.
However I do not see any characters on the char selection screen. In addition there is no characters or NPC in game. I do see the name tags :)

If we're sure your installation media is ok (used common source, works on another pc, etc), then we'll try some basic things to narrow it down.

Probably a result of an issue with your 3d card. You don't happen to have a discrete card but you've plugged your monitor into the motherboard instead of the gfx card, do you? Failing that, try updating or rolling back the drivers on your 3d card to a previous version.

May also be worth giving dgvoodoo2 a shot if the client isn't detecting your 3d card:

mcoy thanks for all your suggestions.

The issue turned out to be the latest video driver on my laptop. I ended reinstalling an earlier version and it solved the problem for me.
