Only thing im having trouble with is if im ok to stand when the tick hits the correct amount but then jumps up like 20 then settles back down. Can i stand as soon as i see the correct number or do i have to wait for it to jump then settle back?

the way I do it is you watch the little mana bar tik up, and you stand and cani, then you sit down and it ticks and you repeat that process


then you start counting in your head every 6 seconds and sit while running from a mob and become 1 with the universe.

I just hit 24 with my shaman and have started to learn the canni dance as well. I made a macro that has been working fairly well.

/stand
/pause 03
/cast X (spell slot Canni is in)
/pause 13 to 15 (will be based on your latency)
/sit

Not sure if the the first pause is needed but think it helps with latency. Tried without it and had problem. Detecting the tick is a bit tricky as it seems to jump around like you said. For me the mana bar will tick up twice. After the second tick I click the macro. Seems to be working out ok for me. I also watch the HP to make sure they both ticked at the same time.

Here's a video I made on it to help you figure out. The idea is to get two cannibalizes in between a tick, and then wait a tick so you can easily see the numbers stabilize. It is more consistent than trying to canni dance every tick, which isn't recommended. The video description has the macro I use. I recently joined the gcd gang and regret not doing it sooner. Canni dance is a pain - sometimes the numbers show correctly, sometimes u get huge uptick and then like half downtick immediately after so never know how much actual mana u have

Small tip: watch the HP tick to time it right

Its crazy on green how much sitting every tick while kiting was a game changer for me back when we were all in rags.

Like you can basically double your mana bar with that trick in a fight up into your 30s

I still do it though constantly out of habbit and it just gives me free mana for a pretty much nervous tick that I just have while I play now.

Dance macro > using GCD reset. If you need to go afk for any amount of time then just chain cast that shit.

I canni every other tick, but macro it to cast twice in one go. Much lazier and still the same efficiency as trying to do it every tick.
