*joking aside: Yes pvp was in the original Diablo, advertised on the cover because computers were connected to dialup. PS1 and N64 were still on the market for time reference, Win95 era. I don't consider any Diablo games after #2 as its a different team making them for a different generation, the tone art sound look etc are all off.

I recommend #1, the original experience.

Diablo 1 had pvp. Diablo 2 had pvp but probably as soon as I whinned about it, they took it away.

You have to be in town, and activate pvp mode, then you can go out of town and find people. Makes avoiding pvp, as far as I can tell, fairly easy. Everyone hears a sound when the pk becomes aggressive, and then they leave.

I haven’t played it in a long time, but there is a mod for the original Diablo called “The Hell” that is much more difficult and a lot of fun

I missed playing diablo so much, now I remember when I see it, let me download the game again :)
