View Full Version : What Keybinds in the Options Menu Actually Work?

I play a lot of older video games on modern computers pretty heavily, and one thing I have learned is that it is best to get the configuration exactly how you want it early on, to make things go smoothly throughout your time playing. That having been said, I have gone through the available in-game keybinds and tested all of them. Many seem to do nothing though. So I wanted to ask here if the ones that seem to do nothing work at all, and then also there were a few that do something, but I can't tell what. I have scoured the forums and the wiki for this info, but couldn't find it.

So these are the binds/commands that seem to do nothing. (Please let me know if any of these actually do something.):

Cycle Through Nearest PCs
Cycle Through Nearest NPCs
Everything Regarding Hotbar Windows 2, 3, and 4
Cast Gem 9
Cycle Reply, Forward
Cycle Reply, Back
Clip Plane In
Clip Plane Out
Toggle Voice Input
Toggle Mail Window
Toggle Alt. Adv. Window
Toggle Bazaar Window
Toggle Friend Window
Toggle Pet Info Window
Toggle Selector Window
Toggle Bazaar Search Window
Toggle Compass
Toggle Raid Window
Toggle Music Player Window
Raise Camera
Lower Camera
Tether-Slide Camera Right
Tether-Slide Camera Left
Toggle the Journal Window
Toggle S. D. Effects Window
Toggle the Storyline Window
Toggle Map Window
Toggle Guild Management Window
Toggle LFG Window
Use Combat Ability 1 - 8
Toggle Combat Ability Window
PvP Stats Window
Toggle Customer Service Window
Stop Casting a Spell

These are the binds/commands that do something, but I am not sure what they do. (If someone could, please fill me in.):

Toggle Netstat (Not sure what the numbers indicate)
Command Mode, Emote
Target Last Person to Send Me a Tell (Just says /rtarget in chat)
Release Mouse Cursor
Toggle Find Window
Toggle Dynamic Zone Window
Toggle Audio Trigger Window

And finally, I couldn't test these, as I couldn't find any other players, so I would just like to know if these work:

Target Party Member 1 - 5
Target Nearest PC

Thanks very much for anyone who takes the time to respond even if your response only touches on a few the binds I listed.

The game client is the Titanium version, which came out after something like 10 expansions. It includes many "features" that are purposely disabled on Project1999 as they are out of era.

I seem to recall a wiki article that listed the differences, but I can't find it atm so here's what I can list off the top of my head - responses in your quote:

If they are going to remove stuff like cycle npc you may well go full classic and remove the scrolling 3rd person view. Either commit to going classic or stop removing QoL stuff because its not really classic at this point. /rant
