I have one on my Shadowknight. It is a good item because it has stats, important resistances, and see invis (saves you 1 buff slot) all at the same time. That is rare for an earring. However, it is a nice to have item when the rest of your slots are already filled out nicely, rather than a must have. It was one of the last pieces I upgraded to on my Shadowknight.

I still have mine for when I want my ac above 1300 but then I always realize how little that is needed and go back to the hp earrings... It's good for see invis, but I'd save up for the -ac earrings from chardok any day!

It depends on what you are fighting. In Solo/Group content AC and Resistances are going to generally help more than a bit of HP. If 70 HP (two +35 HP earrings) was the difference between life and death, the problem wasn't your gear. It was the encounter, your skill, or bad luck.
Chardok earrings are pretty overrated to be honest. They are good in raids when AC doesn't matter, such as trying to not die from AoEs. But in Solo/Group content (where SK are the best), it's not a great earring.
