I went away pre covid and returned again to idle the time away, gain some xp and the usual, but for the life of me, I forgot what is the correct amount to tip druids when porting and at this moment I am too afraid to ask in game.
10p? 20? 30? more?

The correct tip amount is always relative. If it's a corpse run you don't tip. If you just cashed in a farm cycle, hook em up. I do 25 on average.

More...Always More.
But seriously, I've had people pay me 1p and and someone pay me with a 2.5k piece of gear. So, yeah...relative to the person.
Some people say 1p per level, but anytime I get 10p or more I'm happy.

Yeah I usually do 1pp/level but at 60 I just do 40-50plat + c2. Most porters are happy with that.

Ive always done 1pp per level but felt like I still get the stink eye from most halflings.
I dont get a lot of ports until 60 though.

more then 20, up to 50 if you are flowin' I port often and don't pay attention to how much is given...
use the /split option though whenever possible, easier for everyone :)

1 PP/Level up to 50p.
Jibartik

Ok so I think maybe I'm getting a feel the "fee" is 1pp per level, but my tip is same as waiting tables (18%) - which at 50pp comes to 9pp...
So I think the correct answer to this question:
Q: What is the correct amount of tipping for druids?
A: 19%

Just promise to help them on their Faydedar fight. If they already have their epic their character is complete and they have no further use for money (they can forage food and drink).

Can confirm as a porter that c2 is always welcome.

Tip what you feel comfortable parting with at that time. Gems are also acceptable.

50p pretty standard, but I dragged a druid all around for about an hour, finally culminating to a transfer and I gave the poor soul (was in rags) 5k.

Your level is irrelevant. Tip more than you think you should.

1 PP/Level up to 50p.
Or more if asking for other things in addition, like a port to CS + a succor through SG, or picking up your twink from some out of the way location.
That's what I do anyway

Wood elf and Human druids are easier to tip... halflings are tougher with their big feet and being so low to the ground to start with. So tip heavier to the fur footed ones, and man when they go it is hilarious!!!

You should always pay generously and with a custom amount.

Dial a Port DOES NOT work for tips. They are a PAID service. It's part of their rules. Some porters set prices and others do not. They are encouraged to set prices and the typical price is 1 plat per level or 50.

I've gotten literally hundreds of Dial-A-Ports, and never ... not even a single time ... has even one porter responded to my tell with a price. Not once.

Okay, clearly I've never ported you sir. Go on about your day. The usual rate is still 1 plat per level or 50 per. On blue it is 50 per no matter what.

What are you on? DAP porters have NEVER told me how much they wanted for a port. I'm fairly sure you're completely wrong and that the opposite is true - it's in the DAP rules that they CAN'T demand or request compensation and can't even set a recommended price.

Is that so? Weird, if so. I guess I've only met good, nice porters then. Literally every single one was so incredibly adamant about not giving me any kind of price that I figured it was part of the guild rules that they just can't ask for compensation.
I played a wizard back in the day, have one on green.
Depends on your level/gear. For most,
level 1-20th Free-1pp
20th+ 1pp-5pp
50th+ 15-50pp ( location matters too, like say Emerald Jungle or Wakening lands should be 50pp+, there's a real chance for instant death)
My ports were always free back in the day and still are, because I knew how to make ridiculous amounts of money really fast. The people porting to make money are the ones that are going to complain. You never make a port class to make money, farming is exponentially faster. I can port to multiple locations and make 100's PP in minutes.

My wizard 54th level, Highkeep guards, low level guards drop Fine steel everytime, there's a ton of them (10+), easy 100-200pp as fast as you can kill them. There's even a neutral vendor you can sell to after killing town guards here, so probably the best for most classes that have trouble getting around, even a bank too.
Treants South Karana, if they aren't camped, spawn in the same place every 4 min, drop coin like Hill Giants and items to sell for PP, only have 600hp. Best to destroy all your copper and silver at this camp, you get 1000's very quickly.
The 3 Ice Giants in Everfrost, best when no one is camping so you get all 3, trio/quading them makes very fast cash. Bit of Xp too

Usually 1pp per level, but typically 50p after level 50. If you're a youngin (lvl 1-20) with no plat will typically be free of charge. CRs are also free and Clerics should also ride free (thank you for all you guys do). Monks can tip in gems and can't hold anything past 24 weight without getting penalized.
Please tip your porters fair otherwise they will think it's not worth porting and move on to better things.

I do sometimes hear stories like that, sometimes people think people have a lot of plat when asking for a port without some kind of fact checking (most are too lazy to check) and will react like you are a lvl 60 God with legacy items, full of gems, and a bajillion plat to top it off.

I tip rounded my lvl in 5s. So if I am 55 I tip 55pp. But when I port with my druid. CR are free. And except any tip. I know some not as rich as others in the game. Mnks do gems mostly. Had armor trade for a port too. So like I said. Not about greed to me. Just want to help folks out. Hit me up on Blue Morfeis. But playing my Necro Tinadar

1 plat / level minimum is the usual expectation for DaP Druids. At least, as I understand it.
I'm not a DaP Druid, though. So I tend to ignore port requests unless a guildie needs one or if I'm being offered something for my time.
Though, I do sometimes port people for free if I happen to be 'on the go' or along the way (like if I'm headed to that given zone, anyway). Or if its clear that somebody is on a mean corpse run. I similarly didn't charge anything in a 'crisis' scenario... like that recent 'Oggok Exodus' we all had recently. ;P
