so level 54, i can go for either since im at 158 tailoring and can get 6 pretty fast (7 is last one). is CPS that helpful on chanter with our self buffed mana regen? or waste if time and better get Neriad one?

Charisma not an issue i already maxed out with old self buff.

Hey,
I'd say it really depends on the itemization path you want to go.
I went for a Wurm Lord Shawl myself for other stats.
FT is nice, but if you plan to get into a raiding guild, you eventually have access to other items with better stats and FT, if not, go for it.
On my side, I always felt HP regen was more needed than mana regen but I could be wrong.

Posting my magelo to give you ideas, most stuff are groupable/buyable appart from epic/SS armor.

I use a nerd shawl, but if i get the chance I would swap it out for the Wind wakers mantle. At lvl 60 it would be +70 hp over my neriad.
Wurm lord shawl is better, but I know a guy who spent 8 weeks killing fe'dhars all day,and he didn't get one to drop.
I wouldn't waste my time getting the coldain shawl on an enchanter, 10mana/min will make no appreciable difference

Quoted for emphasis: Drop rates in skyshrine are really, really bad. I do not advise trying for a specific item there unless someone's either feeling tremendously lucky or has tremendous time available. Between neriad and coldain shawl the neriad seems the more popular of the two, from my vantage point on the "outside looking in" (being not an enchanter myself).

Neither of these are really very good items.

Better shoulders that are fairly obtainable:
https://wiki.project1999.com/Wind_Walker%27s_Mantle (sky)
https://wiki.project1999.com/Wurm_Lord_Shawl (skyshrine)
https://wiki.project1999.com/Shawl_of_Perception (ToV, droppable)
https://wiki.project1999.com/Wurm_Claw_Pauldrons (ToV, not from vulak~)

FT1 is a little trickier, but still obtainable:
https://wiki.project1999.com/Choker_of_the_Wretched (ring war, droppable)
https://wiki.project1999.com/Robe_of_Inspiration (CT, harder than rw but doable)
--note: eye and brain from CT are -cha
https://wiki.project1999.com/Buckler_of_Insight (doze quest)
https://wiki.project1999.com/Mask_of_the_Silver_Eyes (doze quest)
https://wiki.project1999.com/White_Dragon_Statue (doze quest)

I left vulak loot off the lists

The guy I'm talking about got a total kill amount from his logs.
6500+ fe'dhars, no shawl. Lots of other crap, basically their entire loot table.

I also know a guy who got a shawl in two days.

Yeah for enchanters specifically Shawl 7 isn't as good because they have quite a few FT1 options available to them. I would say it's only worth doing for an Enchanter if you're the type of player who doesn't raid, and wants an FT1 item. Shawl 7 is probably the cheapest FT1 item to get for someone who doesn't have access to raid loot.

Shawl is better for classes that have more limited FT1 options.

if neriad is not for you cuz you don't need the char, then just go for the one with more hp

you won't feel FT1 at all when you have c2/gob

I have ft1 from the choker on my enchanter. It's not super noticeable, but niether is the stats of any single piece of gear. I plan to keep ft on the character.

you guys have good points. I already have 220 charisma unbuffed. and i can buff 50 more so way overkill. I can lose some charisma realistically and be fine (no point of wasting stats). I guess neither one of those really are worth going for at this point, mana flows well anyway, and charisma i have a ton of.

So I think I'll just should look for one with more int/hp/mana during future adventures. Thanks fellas.

I always prioritized HP (with Sta being worth the converted HP), but of course the total mix of stats matters, and worn/clicky effects. Where do you come up short when you play?

Dying? Focus on more HP/Resists (maybe AC too, but I generally find HP and AC come together anyway).
Running out of mana on long fights/buffing? Int
Always feeling low on mana? FT

I know I very rarely had mana issues, so ...
