My poor mother is having to deal with this exact problem. She had a spinal fusion about 10 years ago and now something is complicating it and causing her tremendous pain. She contacted a doctor's office that specializes in that field in january, they told her the earliest she could come in and get an examination was april 9th.

Four months of waiting in pain to see the doctor. What makes it even worse is she got lost on the way to her appointment and was a half hour late and they cancelled on her and told her it would be at least another month before the next opening.
