Mouse cursor disapears during battle

My mouse cursor disapears during battle and often puts me in a position of having to move it around to find it before i can click something.. which obviously is an issue if you need to do something fast..
any clues to the cure would be appreciated!

There's a windows option under mouse in control panel to hide the pointer while typing... You don't have that enabled do you? Any other times you notice the pointer disappearing?

You can place custom cursors files in your UI folder and they will work

You can find cursors on sites like this one http://www.rw-designer.com/cursor-library

Copy the arrow.cur (if you just want the main pointer) or all six .cur files into your UI folder (uifiles/Velious for green) and then reload
