False, many empaths can control their empathy, there is even a type of empath that can channel their empathy to rage and in combat they are more savage, brutal and terrifying than sociopaths. They have an enhanced adrenal response to fear that is believed to deride from trauma and abuse.

Outside of combat they are empaths but during combat they are worse than psychopaths.

Combat Spells
Empaths do not receive the same variety of direct attack and disabling spells as other pure spellcasting professions, but their attack magic is very potent against specific types of enemies.

The primary hunting spell of most empaths is Bone Shatter (1106), a direct attack warding spell with a high chance of critical effects against creatures with internal skeletons. At lower levels, there is a massive TD pushdown which aids the less experienced empath.

The hybrid bolt/warding attack Empathic Assault (1110) relies on training in Spell Aiming and Mental Lore, Telepathy to be effective.

Wither (1115) is a high-level attack option that can be very lethal when used by empaths with exceptional casting strength and deep training in Spiritual Lore, Summoning.

Empaths also have access to the spells Fire Spirit (111) and Web (118) from the Minor Spiritual circle, both requiring training in Spell Aiming.

Control spells include Empathy (1108) and Sympathy (1120), as well as options from spiritual circles such as Unbalance (110) and Bind (214).

Higher level empaths can make use of Empathic Link (1117) to potentially attack multiple enemies at once.

Oh and one last thing, you may not die alone, but you will die around people who tolerated you over the years due to blood relation. Behind closed doors, after your expensive funeral, they will be somewhat happy that you will no longer be a financial burden as they realize that the quote "there is more to family than blood" is only said in movies/tv shows.

Nothing good came from the years/decades of your family members contributing to your life. Everything from the bowls of cereal in the morning to paying taxes to barely get through public education amounted to you spending an equal amount of unhealthy time in EverQuest related activities.

Yeah same. Colby's two fights against Usman were great, but yeah he definitely didn't wanna stand there and just brawl with masvidal cause that's usually suicidal.

Well technically the best fighters are not getting hit nearly as much as the worst. Sometimes the very best like Khabib are almost not being hit at all. And up and comer Khamzat has only had opponents even throw 1-2 punches (that didn’t land) per match before they lost

But yea in general CTE is a thing. Worse for boxers though because the gloves prevent them from being knocked out and so they actually sustain more total damage in the match

Haha what a weird thing to have some kind of grudge against. mma fighters, okay!

But yes, blows to the head can definitely be dangerous both in the short and long term, which is part of what makes the sport exciting to watch! You can definitely hear it when certain fighters speak (nate diaz comes to mind instantly), they are pretty much permanently punch drunk.

All evil skills are just degraded versions of good skills. You can't do evil to people at high levels without understanding them, and not just in a macro way "humans do this" but as individuals. This same skill can be used to help people.

It's why Facebook is the most evil company that has ever existed, since it has such a robust database that it has the ability to manipulate populations, and instead of manipulating people for the purpose of -any- specific good, they simply do it for the benefit of extra $. Would be neat if a necro could like take a paladins life and give it to others and paladin just keeps being replenished. Could do that on pvp. Would be a fun meta to build a game around. As like one if a few different competitive end game grp/raid builds.

I was just thinking of a way they could subsodize the healing power of a cleric, without giving them a new heal spell, if they were constantly healing the group, maybe that would make up for targeted heals by a cleric, somehow try to balance them so it feels about the same during normal play, while not changing the way the paladin class plays "melee tank!"

Red 2.0 rule set, aka: Everybody is the hero in their story.

All race / deity combos are kept.

All class buttons at char select are replaced by paladin (but they keep the faction mod and maybe equipment options of the class it would have been).

Guild trainers, spell vendors and equipment merchants are replaced with paladin equivalents.

Everyone is out there trying to assert their ‘one true philosophy’ while smiting heathens.
