View Full Version : WHY SO SMALL
Hey, I'm 30 or 40 years old, and everything is so small. I downloaded 3 custom UIs (duxa, qqui, and another) and none of them help. Is there any way to make things (spell gems, items, etc) bigger?
you can lower your resolution i think.
Lowering resolution in EQ just makes my window smaller. =(

Or even the secret chat font size, /chatfontsize 6.

The UI was never upscaled. 640x480, then they stretched it for 800x600 and to this day they have never touched it it seems.
I made this UI for 1440p, if you use it at 1080p it is around the same aspect ratio scaling as the original at around 800x600.

Really odd that they never up scaled it honestly, most the community is kind of oblivious to this factor.
You can also just go down to like 1024x768, but the reality is that at a higher resolution the game looks much better as the textures etc up scale at least, and if you get a high quality texture mod its even better, its just the UI is microscopic around 1440p, let alone 4k so it all has to be manually up scaled like I did with my mod.

No worries honestly just glad you like it. Few issues but I will fix them around June when I get back into playing, let me know of anything you notice.
I do remember that the spellbook button to close it is overlayed wrong, character creation screen is like 10% done, the macro/hotkey window is 60% done and a few other things but I plan on fixing this stuff around may/june.
My only current complaint is that there are no % signs on health/mana bars
:D
