I wonder if aggro Kiting could be viable strategy on Mage? The pet hate already Transfers to the Mage anyway, so That would help to keep aggro on the Mage. You could cast the Level 24 Malaise, mixed in with Maybe the Burnt wood staff, to help hold aggro. Only thing you might need is Jboots and possibly a way to snare the mob.
