Other than the epic, are there any bard-only slashers in the game? i'm kinda getting tired of all these piercers. BTW, verant misspelled the spell -it should be, "Seas," or "Sea," but not "Sea's." =)

Ummm Who cares about the spelling? And yes they spelled it correctly. Seas is a proper word a name. ' S E A ' S is the plural and correct usage of this word.
Of all the sea's in this world you had to drown in mine.
Two weeks of reading various posts in this forum and out of 20, i might see one useful one. Take your freaking flame fests to the teen chat room if you have no useful information to post. Opinions are for watchers, not for people of action. =(

SEA'S is not the plural form of SEA, 's implies ownership of something. For example, "itis the bard's dagger" in this sentence, the 's shows that the bard owns the dagger. Just though a little grammer lesson wouldn't hurt anybody.

Though it seems that typo only applied to the buff/listed effect and not the resulting blue text.

Blue text is defiantly 'see' and timer is normal bard song time.

luneigh is referring to the proc effect message. In game, it definitely says "sees" instead of "seas". I'm trying to find it, but I think that this is a classic typo. So far, I can't seem to dig up where I read that.
And not to divert too strongly from OP's real topic but:
As far as the text on the item icon goes, seems like it was "Song of the Deep Seas" until it was upgraded: http://web.archive.org/web/20020723035852im_/http://eqdiva.com/images/stats/imgStatsSirenSong.jpg
Then after the late 2001 upgrade, they mistakenly added "Sea's": https://web.archive.org/web/20020424125052im_/http://everquest.allakhazam.com/equipment/graphics16/siren_song.jpg

Found it: http://www.tski.co.jp/baldio/patch/20030313.html
March 2003 Patch: Song of the Deep Seas now says: "The fury of the deep sea fills your arms" when sung (changed "see" to "sea").
Edit:
I actually think the entire proc is wrong, though.
Pre 2002, I think it should be this: https://web.archive.org/web/20020228140425/http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=1755
See history of changes to the proc: https://lucy.allakhazam.com/spellhistory.html?id=1973&source=Live&setcookie=1
2002-12-12 11:18 Changed 'Cast on you' message from "You feel your pulse quicken." to "The fury of the deep see fills your arms."

I was more concerned with the proc only being 3 ticks instead of 2.5 min. The spelling I noticed just cause I couldn't get gina trigger to work.

the proc is fixed now, works groupwide again. proc will 'stack' with the epic, but not the haste component, obviously...

hi i have and use this weapon. the effect does indeed stack with the epic effect though i heard it didnt once as it was broken , it is self only lasts the length of a song. those stats above seem about right , cept i havent noticed the agi/ac bonuses. guy who said too much agro , yes this weapon gives some agro , its really good and only a fool would not use this weapon because of a reason like that . well that or someone who has not descovered song of dawn. person that said switch out from primals , yes someone might do this its arguably better however avatar is a 6min spell and if you have ever seen primals in action you'll know of their large proc rate , making them very easy to switch out for proc and back to epic. personally i use this dagger and the epic , when im not using songs that i greatly need to raise with an instrument effect i often find myself procing the epic and putting it in offhand so the dagger is mainhand for more procs.

Why this is not better then epic. Reply... By: Anonymous

Ok, so it has good stats... But the proc is not better then the proc on bard epic. Would you rather have a 55% haste (bard epic) that last 25 ticks (2.5 minutes), or would you rather have a weapon that is a 60% haste (dagger of the sea)
but only lasts 3 ticks (18 seconds)? Haste on the bard epic will become much more useful since you wont have to wait for it to proc every 18 sec. Also, if you wield these, the proc on this weapon should kick the epic haste off. -Think about it.

Very intesting, thanks guys. It currently is a group buff and does stack with epic proc. Seems to just be the see and 3 tick duration.

Do we think this is bug, or just an era thing? I wonder if nature’s melody is the same way, and if they will be changed.

The comment by Eski from Sept. 21st doesn't specify exactly what was fixed other than the proc effect being made groupwide and stacking with epic again, excluding the haste component. However, searching through patch notes from around the same time reveals more...

Great find Ennewi!
So maybe it will be changed with Chardok revamp. I'm not sure how blue one works.

The buff duration is working as intended for Green's era. The duration increases with the Oct2001 patch.
