Problems with full screen

I'm having problems with full screen not working. When I go full screen, as soon as I move or try to use a key, it drops me out of full screen into window mode and minimizes.

I've tried all kinds of resolutions but nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you running the game in any compatibility mode? I think that should fix that problem.

... How exactly? I haven't logged in for more than a few minutes every few months due to what sounds like this exact issue. Upgraded monitor use the appropriate resolution to fill my screen but most the UI is unusable as it takes me straight to the desktop and i have to re-maximize the screen again.
