I am fistandantiles spellstorm. a while back i posted a thread on gear suggestions. i wanted to give a gear update. i have been hard at work grinding for gear and i am still not done. I am currently working on the ring of dizok quest and the coldain ring quest. I want to buy or farm the hammered golden hoop, get the spirit wracked cord and regal band of bathezid quest along with skyshrine quests. i am currently a level 41 necromancer. let me know where i can improve

Nice stuff man, necros don't need much gear to level. Anywhere you can squeeze some HP out won't hurt.
Maybe work on a resist set of you plan on doing any raids. Bd bracelets,earrings,frog robe/frog crown stuff like that.

Start saving up for Skyshrine gear. A lot of the cloth pieces are cheaper than the plate/chain counterparts. Get thurg pants if you can't save the 20-30k for SS legs (though SS legs are near BIS if not BIS for necros). The legs clicky is pet haste. Stats on Skyshrine head, arms, boots are really good and those are lowish hanging fruit. Work on factioning to warmly with chardok so you can get your free 1st ring, and eventually get x2 hammered golden loops.

i have about 17k right now. i know i want to get one of the dragon necklace talismans, the rotting legs look very nice. im thinking of saving and keep farming for higher end pieces like the rotting legs and maybe loot rights.

You're either twinked or you've literally focused on farming plat since level 1. Either way, dig up more resources for a Z heart.

Nothing else matters. Z heart is the only thing you'll see a legitimate gain from at this point.

this is my first and only char on p99. ive farmed plat for months. i couldve easily been level 60 already but i like farming plat and gear. ive got about 20k right now. zheart goes for 200k. thats such so absurdly expensive.

Sweet gear for your 40s! I got into the upper 50s on waaaaay worse gear than that.

I realize this isn't what you asked, but I'd consider just grinding up toward 60 and joining a guild that does HOT. I don't feel like it's practical to buy those things when most guilds can/do farm them.

Just my two cents of course! Everyone should play the way they find fun!
